Staff was personable, professional & knowledgeable. Everything was clean & inviting.

Cons:

Landscaping not taken care of. Weeds taller than the bushes. I was kind of nervous walking in that it was going to be a dump! Pleasantly surprised the inside looked nothing like the outside!!

Pros:

I love the coffee machine that grinds the beans and makes one FRESH cup of coffee! That starts the morning right. The room was clean and comfortable, although the water restrictor on the shower head was a bit excessive. All told, the overnight was fine.

There was nothing about this hotel I liked.

Cons:

I booked the hotel through booking.com for my father-in-laws Celebration of Life. I thought I was booking in Altoona, IA, but instead it was Altoona, PA. There was no way we were going to miss this event so we didn't buy the cancellation fee, but because of the PA instead of IA we lost over $800 dollars. That was an expensive lesson that I can't afford. We are even part of the IHG family and this is how we get treated. Disappointed and Frustrated.

Don't attempt to change check in dates... no response given.
Pros:

Check in was easy. Continental breakfast was lovely. Ample parking. Room well supplied.

Cons:

I requested a change in check in date through booking.com and followed up by calling the property after reading that hotels typically respond within 24 hours. Property states they were unable to approve the change over the phone because it was booked through booking.com. The property did not respond at all (after more than 24 hours) to a request to change the check in date to a day earlier. I gave up and canceled the request after a few days and kept the original booking.
