There was nothing about this hotel I liked.
I booked the hotel through booking.com for my father-in-laws Celebration of Life. I thought I was booking in Altoona, IA, but instead it was Altoona, PA. There was no way we were going to miss this event so we didn't buy the cancellation fee, but because of the PA instead of IA we lost over $800 dollars. That was an expensive lesson that I can't afford. We are even part of the IHG family and this is how we get treated. Disappointed and Frustrated.

Check in was easy. Continental breakfast was lovely. Ample parking. Room well supplied.
I requested a change in check in date through booking.com and followed up by calling the property after reading that hotels typically respond within 24 hours. Property states they were unable to approve the change over the phone because it was booked through booking.com. The property did not respond at all (after more than 24 hours) to a request to change the check in date to a day earlier. I gave up and canceled the request after a few days and kept the original booking.
This hotel is very clean, modern and well maintained. While the breakfast was standard "free breakfast" fare, it was done well. The clerk who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
While the hotel is located close to the interstate, finding access to it was a little confusing.

Ppl above us sounded like a construction company. Terrible noise till after 11pm and up again at 4 am. Called front desk and they offered a late checkout. Got about 2 hours of sleep.
