The location was great, beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
We were put in a room on the second floor, which normally doesn’t bother us at all. But we didn’t know that there is no elevator, and it was difficult for us to get our bags up the flights of stairs. We asked for our room to be switched to the first floor if possible,, and the lady at the desk said she would try to do that, but because my husband said something about being concerned about being on the second floor, it seemed that she didn’t really try to find us a different room.
The breakfast was OK, but some of the foods didn’t seem very fresh.
Everything was as it should be. The breakfast offered appeared very nice, but I was invited to a cousin’s home for breakfast, so I cannot comment further.
Staff was friendly at check-in. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was set up nicely to eat something before our baseball tournament.

I would definitely choose to stay here again. Very clean. New carpet. Tub/shower is new condition. Beds very comfortable. Linens clean. Maid service very good. Plenty of towels. Spacious room - 2 queen beds; desk; microwave; mini frig; separate sink and counter area from bathroom. Quiet location. Courtesy breakfast - includes waffle maker; scrambled eggs; sausage (varies by day); bagels/english muffins; good coffee & cream; yogurt, milk, 3 kinds of juice; nice dining area.
This place was OK... It was a place to lay our heads as we were leaving the area after visiting the Field Of Dreams movie set.
We left very early in the morning, but there was enough of the breakfast ready for us to grab a little something before we headed out!
Everything was fine except the beds were too soft for us!
Monticello Cobblestone Inn was very clean, staff was friendly, pleasant and helpful. First time I stayed at a Cobblestone Inn.......certainly won't be the last.
We appreciated the very nice, modern rooms. The beds are very comfortable with crisp, clean linens!
The breakfast is a typical continental breakfast with a waffle maker, but that is why the room fee is reasonable.
