Great place to bring the dogs and spend a night or two. The mall has plenty to do and the dogs love walking the hallways.

Honestly the best place that we’ve stayed in Duluth so far. I loved the location and having the shops and restaurants right underneath the hotel was so convenient and made for a really fun night out for us. The room was stunning and the service was truly amazing and everyone was so kind.

Fitgers is a well cared for historic hotel in a beautiful location on Lake Superior.
From front desk and throughout the hotel the service is excellent. Personal friendly knowledgeable people ready to help.
My room had a lake view with doublethick curtains to pull closed at night during a cold front. Comfy bed with overflowing pillows. Two big comfortable chairs and a table.
Bathroom was well appointed with plenty of good towels and Aveda bath products.
There is a shopping area just below the hotel one elevator ride away.
Best bookstore--huge--helpful staff. Lots of gifts.
Clothing stores. Large dog store. A brewery. And more.
Also a nice restaurant just as you exit the elevator.
Fitgers gives a booklet for discounts at many of the stores/restaurant.
They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere you need to go!

This property never disappoints. Everything you need for a great weekend is right within the Fitger’s complex, plus Lake Superior is just steps away.

Our stay was short one night, for a medical appointment at Essentia the next day. Location and Valet service were perfect for a cold snowy December day. The valet service was priceless for parking of car and shuttles to and from medical appointment as well as luggage assistance and car pickup.

Historic hotel with modern amenities made for a very pleasant stay. The staff was very attentive and all amenities were top notch.

We loved Fitgers and the rooms, the staff, and the location were all excellent.
And being pet friendly was also exactly what we needed.

This is one of our favorite hotels in the country. It’s quaint, comfortable, service is unmatched. The “mall” area has fun shops, and the pub is a must-stop.

The building is kept up beautifully. Nice amenities, you can choose your pillow from a list of different styles. There is a shuttle that can take you to Bentleyville, which is a great perk when the parking is difficult.

Had a wonderful stay over Christmas—enjoyed shopping, excellent meals, phenomenal room service, and incredibly comfortable beds and pillows.

Fitgers was the ideal place to stay while my husband was hospitalized nearby. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Because "the weather outside was frightful," the shuttle service to and from the hospital was a great option as was valet parking.

We had a great time at Fitgers. The hotel was nicely decorated for the Ho,idays, it was quiet and beds were comfortable and it felt like I was at home.

Fitgers is always my go to when staying in Duluth. It’s always super convenient and the staff are excellent.

Book in advance, to ensure a lake-view room but if you don't, a city-view room is extremely nice, as well. The place is a must-visit even if your accommodations are elsewhere. Within walking distance of the boardwalk, exquisite eateries, things to see and last by not least the famous ice-cream store.

Great location with easy access to the lakeshore walking paths as well as the indoor mall with shops and restaurants.

We have been staying at Fitgers for over 30 years now and enjoy every stay. We like the location and every room is different.

The hotel is located in a great complex with many amenities including restaurants and bars for dinner and drinks in the evening, solid options for breakfast and coffee, and welcoming little shops of many types. All this on the beautiful Lake Superior shore with a brilliant view of downtown and the harbor bridge. Lake walk is surprisingly well lit and well used making a morning run comfortable and safe as well as beautiful.
