Hotel Tiflis

Het was geen plezierig verblijf, ik kreeg een kamer zonder licht en het was er donker en vochtig. Ik snap werkelijk niet hoe ze deze kamer kunnen verhuren. Tijdens mijn verblijf had ik ook geen warm water. Ik heb hier meerdere keren over geklaagd en ze deden het af met dat ze geen gas zouden hebben, compenseren was geen optie. Het ontbijt was erg karig en voor koffie moest betaald worden.
Hoewel het personeel vriendelijk is, raad ik dit hotel niemand aan!

Otel cok merkezi bir konumda, 250 metre ileride metro istasyonu var. Calisanlar cok yardimseverdi, her gun odamiz temizlendi. Genel olarak her yeri temiz bir otel. Kahvaltisi da gayet yeterli. Tavsiye ederiz

Really great place with very good location and the best director.
Breakfast was nornal, service was really great, every day they clean the room, give water, etc.

I recently stayed at Tiflis, which boasted a prime location, which was undeniably one of its high points. However, my experience was marred by several issues that significantly impacted my stay.

Upon arrival, I was surprised to find the room rate higher than expected, especially since I had booked through a guide promising competitive rates. More perplexing was the discovery of the same family room offered at a discounted rate on Booking.com. When I approached the hotel staff about this discrepancy, they initially resisted adjusting the price. It was only after we were about to cancel and rebook through the website that they reluctantly offered a lower rate, along with an upgraded room. This incident left me questioning their pricing practices and customer service ethos, as the original room was not only overpriced but also subpar, old with a lackluster ambiance and a leaking bathroom.

The management's approach to handling this situation was far from hospitable. Their reluctance to accommodate a reasonable request and lack of customer-centric attitude were disappointing. It's hard to see how such a stance aligns with the ethos of the hospitality industry.

On a more positive note, the hotel did have one standout staff member, Beso, whose welcoming demeanor and helpfulness were a breath of fresh air in an otherwise challenging environment. His professionalism and kindness underscored what the rest of the team lacked.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was further let down by the mediocre breakfast offering, which failed to meet the expectations set by the hotel's promising location and potential.

Given these experiences, I am inclined not to choose this hotel for future stays. It's a stark reminder that even in the most prime locations, the quality of service and transparency in pricing can deeply influence the overall hospitality experience. The hotel would benefit significantly from more staff members like Beso, who genuinely understand the essence of hospitality and customer care.

“Luxury” hotel means different things to different people. This is a nice hotel but not luxury for me. So far spent two nights in two different rooms. First room had a nice little balcony and everything worked. The mattress was soggy. The second night, no balcony. Mattress was OK but TV was out. The front desk told me they were having “problems.” Indeed. Breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is hard by the old city and very convenient. The menu in the Veranda restaurant looks good, but is vastly overpriced. There is a nice restaurant right down the block (right turn). Front desk English not good. Would not take my word that I had nothing from the minibar without checking the room ( I guess that says something about the clientele.). You can do better. Happy Trails. P

Hotel was clean and well located and staff were friendly. Great part of Tbilisi!

Non so se ho ricevuto il Vantaggio VIP. In cosa consiste ? Hotel molto vicino ad una stazione della Metro. Relativamente vicino a ristoranti. Colazione un pò carente per un 4 stelle ma, da sempre, i 4 stelle Europei sono diversi dai 4 stelle di altri Paesi. Due pesi e due misure

Staff are very accommodating

Great little cheap hotel, however:

It's a little hard to find, it's around the back of the main building, it took us 25 minutes to find the entrance.

The free Breakfast was great but I didn't like paying extra for coffee when you advertise free breakfast.

The design of the bathroom means there is no shower door and the whole room gets flooded anytime someone uses it.

It sounds negative big these are all minor issues and we will be staying there again in a week or so.

This is a very comfortable hotel in a convenient location with a lovely courtyard in which to relax outside. Stayed here 5 nights in total, first 3 in main building which was quite acceptable, a further 2 in a room at the end of the courtyard which was also nice. Slept well each time. The staff is, without exception warm, welcoming & efficient and treated me/us with extreme kindness. Very, very sad to leave. Highly recommended.

At first glance the hotel looks very charming and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and well presented. The breakfast was ok. The location is incredibly convenient. And then night came.

Trying to sleep was impossible. If it wasn’t for doors slamming, people talking loudly all through the night and with the thin walls it was really annoying. A group of young people partied into the late hours in the courtyard. This was not one night but every night. And calling to the front desk to ask for something to done was never met with a response.

Disappointing for what could be such a fine hotel.

The location of the hotel is good. Room is nice too. No elevator, you have to carry your luggage via stairs. Lady in the restaurant serving breakfast is very arrogant and loud. Restaurant quite small. Looking for a table and seat wherever available. It was not cleaned, and she thought we did the mess (like tissues on the table). She started shouting and while we are eating she look at us like idiots. Since we were not happy with her actions, instead of staying for 3 days, we opt to find another hotel.

The personnel of the hotel was nice, the breakfast was good, the hotel was clean. However in my room the toilet flush was not working, the TV remote missed batteries and i could hear everything in my neghbohor in the room. the area is ok like the old city, you can find many restaurants and shops but very crowded to reach. I thank the personnel of the hotel but if i come back not sure i would take the same hotel. Thanks

My stay was nice and comfortable. Nice area. Quiet yet in the middle of action street.

As part of a small group tour we stayed here for 3 nights.

A very presentable lobby, friendly reception. The hotel and our room were clean and tidy.

Our room was small and there was no fridge, no shampoo/conditioner, no tissues. However, there was a TV, small desk, double bed, bedside tables, heaters, a safe, hairdryer and complimentary water (which was not replaced the next day. Nor were the water glasses that we had used). The bathroom was a reasonable size, although there was little space to place your own toiletry bag. The towels were thin, frayed and a little discolored.

There was no lift so you had to take your luggage to the upper floor, although this was only about 20 steps.

Free WiFi was available as was a same-day laundry service.

No restaurant, but there was a bar for ordering drinks.

The outdoor courtyard was a pleasant area, with tables and chairs.

Breakfast consisted of a small buffet of boiled eggs, some fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, bread/toast. The breakfast area was small and on one morning several guests had to wait to be able to get a table.

Location of the hotel to the immediate surrounds did not provide too many local restaurant dining options. However, it is only about a 5 minute walk to the local Metro station which has a very efficient train service. Two stops and you are at Liberty Square.

In summary, Hotel Tiflis had several positive aspects to its operation, but left a bit to be desired.

lovely central hotel, very close to the metro and very easy to get to Rustaveli, Liberty Square or Station Square. Ideal if you will be getting the train from Tbilisi to Yerevan or Baku.

Not real clean and the door is not safe.
The breakfast room is little.
