Dreams Lodge Monteverde

Wonderful staff and a beautiful location!! ❤️

This property felt like staying at a good friend’s house. The manager, Tony, his staff, made us feel like family and went out of their way to help welcome us to Monteverde by not only recommending activities, but arranging them for us and making sure the tour companies actually took care of us. The breakfast every morning was made with care and the service was truly hospitable. The smallest minor issue is that there is no Air Conditioning in the room, which is expected in an eco-friendly lodge, however, the patio door had no screen, either so although it would have been lovely to get some fresh air into the room- the night critters from the forest made that impossible. Overall, the was the most personable lodging in our whole trip and we would highly recommend for someone seeking something family-owned and quiet.

Very nice and cozy hotel. The breakfast included was delicious! It was easy to transport using uber service.

Wonderful stay. Great and helpful staff helped us plan and arrange tours. Good value for money. Away from noise. Privacy. Saw a capybara eating from the fallen fruit (figs). Monse was especially nice and she has a beautiful and friendly little daughter. Great free fresh hot breakfast.

Can’t say enough about our hosts. Breakfast freshly cooked, extremely accommodating. Very helpful with tours and transportation to sites(free). Rooms a bit on small side but comfy

This is a great place to stay if spending time in Monteverde or St. Elena as it's centrally located. The room was large, beautiful, and very clean with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom.

Free breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful, and delicious. There are no "views" as it's tucked in against tall trees.

Some of the less than 5 stars above are because the check-in staff person woman was rude to us because Expedia said I had already paid half, and Expedia had failed to charge me (from booking 5 months prior - who can remember that far back?), and I had to go lookup Amex charges, which didn't exist. Once I paid what was due, I tried to make nice with her, as it wasn't my fault either, and she continued to chastise me that she knew better! So she clearly doesn't know about customer service. The male manager was extremely nice the next day. The WiFi didn't work well. And also they were using a very noisy leaf-blower for a while in the morning, which really disturbed our ability to enjoy the morning.

Tony is an amazing host. He knows all of the area attractions and will do all he can to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. The water temp in the shower is a bit tricky and brought the total score down a bit. Breakfast is delicious and prepared individually.

We have had such an amazing stay at Dreams Lodge. Tony and Monse are so helpful and endearing and always greeted us with a smile.We were also lucky enough to meet Tony's brother and wife and granddaughter.
The close encounter with tbe monkeys and seeing such incredibly beautiful birds including
the elusive Bell Bird. The breakfast was huge and so delicious. This is the place to stay in Monteverde!!

A very cute and comfortable property with wonderful staff and a very generous and delicious breakfast.

The biggest con of this property is there is no one at the property after 8pm sometimes even earlier. The property is a bit old and the locks & keys don't work properly. If you are unable to open the lock or lose keys after 8pm then you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with no help.

Other cons - small showers and limited parking.

It's a quiet oasis of it's own with a beautiful setting, walkable to restaurants and a short drive to all we were doing in the area.

We stayed at the Dreams Lodge near Monteverde for two nights and had a very nice experience. We arrived in the early evening and were met by a very friendly professional and polite young lady who explained the B&B to us and showed us to our rooms. The parking was a little cramped but not bad. The room was quiet and clean and delightful and had a mini fridge.

The next morning, we went to breakfast and were met by the owner Antonio who was a very friendly and outgoing host. He explained the history of the dreams lodge and suggested places of interest to visit and to eat at locally. The dreams lodge was close to many businesses and within walking distance to several nice places to eat.

This was an exceptional place to stay, and we would highly recommend it. We will return.

Pretty good for a " Lodge"

Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Not much in the way of storage, but not bad. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The unit was small but quaint. There was not much ventilation and it got a bit warm. We could not leave the bathroom window open because there was no screen.

Friendly staff, well kept property. Staff helpful organizing local activities.

Our stay at Dreams Lodge was phenomenal. Tony was incredibly friendly and welcoming and made our experience one to remember. The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious. Tony helped us find monkeys, and brought bananas for us to give to them. He had great recommendations for activities and food around MonteVerde. They made sure you were well taken care of and that you enjoyed your stay. We will definitely stay here again. Would recommend this place to anyone.
