I would not recommend staying there.
Pros:

They upgraded our room when I complained about the age of the hotel. They were accomodating in this respect. The staff was helpful.

Cons:

The facilities were very old. It felt like no one had stayed there for several years. The photos on the site did not match the reality of the hotel. There were fountains everywhere that had no water. There were signs saying that the hotel was for sale and it felt like this hotel was on its last legs.

Het hotel is met een prachtige tuin gelegen aan het meer van Atitlan en kijkt uit op de San Pedro Vulkaan. Personeel is buitengewoon vriendelijk en zorgzaam. Het heeft een mooi aangelegd groot zwembad.

Cons:

Ik kan niets bedenken.

The garden of the property is impressive and very beautiful and there’s a direct private entry to the lake. Everything was clean.

Cons:

Pictures on the website are nothing like in real life. 80% of the pools are empty - and not for cleaning, as dirt has been piling up in them. The rooms are outdated probably since the 90s no renovation has been done, the facilities are falling apart, and the rooms are cold and empty. There where more employees than guests and the prices in the restaurants are way too high for the amount and quality of the food. Honestly I think the pictures online can be called scam. At the Check out they made us wait because someone apparently needed to check the room if it was okay? I don’t know if that is from a history of bad behavior but it felt very strange and not okay

bella vista e molto spazioso

vista lago molto affascinante.
l'hotel ha delle dimensioni molto estese con piscine e giardini che permettono molte attività diverse, oltre alla banchina e il molo vista lago da cui partono i battelli privati dell'hotel.
camera era pulita ed accogliente

Cons:

a causa di un problema tecnico non sono riusciti a darci la camera con la stessa disposizione di letti che avevamo richiesto durante la prenotazione.
raggiungere la struttura in macchina non è molto facile vista la difficoltà del navigatore ad orientarsi nelle strette stradine della città di santiago atitlan.
il ristorante è buono ma decisamente troppo caro rispetto alle porzioni ed alla qualità.
