Confirmed booking not booked at all
Pros:

They contacted us by email 2 weeks before arrival asking us to cancel our reservation, we did not see that email and it was still confirmed through hotels.com! They did not have a room for us. My little experience with the hotel, therefore, is not good. And it was a struggle to get them to help us find another hotel.. I would not book them again since I feel I wouldn't be able to trust the booking.

Clean and Safe basic accommodation
Pros:

The hotel was approx 2 hours from Colombo airport. The hotel arranged pick up for us in advance and this was seamless. The hotel although basic was very clean and safe. Always a porter or hotel staff present. Hotel staff were lovely and very friendly. Breakfast was basic but had the option of Sri Lankan cuisine or American breakfast. Located right on the beach and about a 5mins walk on the beach up to the main restaurants/bars. If you are looking for basic, safe and clean accommodation look no further. Very good value.
