A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation, payment can be made with card through our Paypal account. The hotel does not accept American Express credit cards and payments by credit card (Visa /Mastercard) will aplly 5% fee.

Parking subject to availability.

Car is not needed, prime location near bars, shops and restaurants. Parking not available but possible, bicycle available at the hotel. Beer, wine and any kind of alcoholic beverage is forbidden at Playa Canek Boutique Eco Hotel, the property has a restaurant and a beach bar on site.

To help the planet and take care of the environment, solar panels are used in the Hotel. For that reason, air conditioning is available from 8:00 PM until 08: 00 AM.

We are eco friendly: towels and blankets will change every 3 days.

Transportation to the hotel can be booked for an extra charge.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Gute Lage für Tulum mit toller Strandnähe :)
Pros:

Lage ist extrem gut, ruhiger Strandabschnitt mit sehr gemütlichen Sonnenbetten!
Das Zimmer war basic, aber man hatte alles was man braucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft einem, wenn man Hilfe braucht.
Das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend, es war zwar kein Buffett mit riesig Auswahl aber es gab immer frische Eier, Toast/Pancakes, Früchte und Kaffee. Für uns voll okay um in den Tag zu starten, ansonsten gibts auch noch genug Spots um einzukaufen in der Nähe oder zu frühstücken/mittag zu essen.
Wichtig anzumerken: die Klima geht nur von 8pm bis 8am :)

Cons:

- Ablagemöglichkeiten für nasse Badesachen gab es nicht, erst Tage später als wir es auf das Geländer gehangen haben :)
- Warmes Wasser dauert etwas länger bis es kommt
- Kommunikation über Booking war anfangs schwierig, weil spät geantwortet wurde. Drei Tage vor Anreise haben wir nach einem Flughafentransport gefragt und erst bei der Landung in Cancun eine Antwort bekommen… kann auch ein Einzefall sein. Wir wurden trotzdem abgeholt und es wurde sich sehr bemüht um uns :)

Zimmer hat beim Bezug nach Chemikalien/Benzin gerochen. Beim Erstbezug Zimmer voll mit Mücken.
Großbaustelle nebenan. 7.30-17.30 Baulärm
Warmwasser schwer regulierbar. Oft viel zu heiß, da kaltes Wasser gefehlt hat.
Bezahlung ging nur in Pesos. Der Dollar bzw Eurobetrag wurde mit einem an Wucher grenzenden Wechselkurs in Euro umgerechnet. Zahlung mit Karte in Dollar/Euro war angeblich nicht möglich. Aufschlag zum Tageskurs der Kreditkarte ca 10% !!! Erst nach längerer Diskussion wurde ein etwas besserer Kurs gewährt, bei einem Betrag von 400 Euro aber immer noch 10 Euro über dem normalen Kurs lag.

die Lage direkt am Strand ist super, das Hotel hat seine eigenen Liegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert.
Ich habe mich gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

die Zimmer kann man nicht gut abdunkeln, aber mit einer schlafmaske geht es gut

El tema es que no hay información previa, clara, explicita advirtiendo acerca del sargazo. Es tremendo. Uno disfruta igual porque va a eso, pero.... Sería interesante contar con un dispenser de agua

Worst experience and it’s facade

DO NOT STAY HERE. First off, when we arrived we were so called greater by the person at the so called front desk. He didnt even ask for an ID. He just took us to the room in a hurry and ran off. Which, I understood after walking into the place. NO AC which said they had it. He said he would t turn it on til 8pm. I had children and elderly people with me. Water provided in the room was filled with gunk. The furniture had holes all in it. Toilet paper dirty and rusty sink. The place was awful! I’ve requested a refund which I have I. Writing from them they will give a full refund but now they are not responding to booking.com and booking.com is saying the can’t refund me fully without hearing from them directly even though I showed them the text from them saying they would refund me. It’s all a load of crap
Oh and the pool was so gross and cloudy that you couldn’t even see through it.

Beste Rezeption! sehr hilfreich und freundlich! Es gab überall Insekt aber die Rezeption hatte während Checkin ein Anti-Insektspray zur Verfügung. Gute Lage am Strand, zur berühmten Beach clubs ca 15 min zu Fuß.

We had an effortless checkin, rooms were clean and beautiful. There is a really beautiful eco-feeling and all the heat and light is sustainably generated.
The beach is absolutely fabulous. And the hotel has a really interesting multi-layered design.
The owner is a really honest and hard-working entrepreneur.
Hotel provides some beach/sand toys for children to play. Our children loved it.
