Wonderful host and staff who care about their visitors stay
Pros:

Breakfast was served by the owner and chef and was great value. It was cooked to order and piping hot.
Evening meals were just as good. Good sized servings and value for money.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the area and provided suggestions of places to visit.
We also requested a room on the lower floor, due to difficulties with steps and they were happy to assist with this request.

Cons:

Nil issues during our stay.

Clean rooms, friendly welcoming and knowledgeable staff, excellent home cooked food, pet friendly, what more do you need
Pros:

I was travelling with a dog and made to feel very welcome, really loved that each room is self contained and opens onto the courtyard, no endless corridors that all look the same, I had the cooked breakfast which was so nice I decided to have an evening meal and wasn’t disappointed, I ordered a steak and it was cooked exactly how I wanted and was the tastiest in a long time, my daughter is in university in Dundee and this will now be the only place I will stay when coming down

Cons:

The decor in the rooms are looking a bit dated, but then again it is an old coaching inn

Coaching Inn
Pros:

Location is close enough to the city for easy access if you want. Close to the A90 (Kingsway), for easy travel to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and everywhere else to be honest. Staff very friendly, rooms and the Inn were excellent and spotless. If you have the full Scottish breakfast, don't expect to be hungry for a long time.

Cons:

Having to get up to go home again 😂

Excellent location and price
Pros:

A convenient location for filming work I was doing nearby. Staff were great, leaving the door unlocked for me as I didn’t finish work until 0200. Quiet, clean ensuite room. Good parking and value for money.

Cons:

A blackout curtain or blind and a ‘don’t disturb’ sign would be nice for people trying to sleep during the day.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and the inn was quiet.

Cons:

The inn is clearly dated with dampness filling the entire place when staying there. The toilets and bathroom are poorly put together and are in desperate need of repair. The beds are old and you can feel the springs digging into you.

Overall, if they'd just invest a bit of time renewing the bathroom, new beds, and new paint the rooms would be amazing!
