Great location
Pros:

Perfect location, very clean and well maintained room

Cons:

On our 3rd and last day we had to wait 45 mins for our cooked breakfast to arrive. When it did finally arrive the poached eggs on my wife's breakfast was stone cold. We complained to a member of staff who came and took the plate away, we them waited a further 15 to 20 mins for a replacement but it never arrived, in the meantime I had finished my breakfast a long time ago. We then gave up waiting and walked out of the dinning room feeling very disappointed. We also noticed other people waiting a long time for their breakfast and someone else complained about their food being cold. Not the standard we were expecting as the previous 2 days were excellent

Impromptu birthday meal turned out great!
Pros:

We ate there evening of 08/04/2026.

Really lovely attentive staff - to the point where they knew a it was a member of our party’s birthday and they made up a small fudge cake with a candle!

Really tasty, well crafted food and dog friendly, atmosphere was nice you felt like you wanted to smile any everyone and have a chat with other tables.

When you go the lakes it is going to be on the pricier side, but it’s fine it’s worth paying.

Gorgeous room and perfect location.
Pros:

Lovely room decor and comfy bed. Great shower. Nice tea tray and complimentary chocolates. Air con in the room was good as it was needed.

Cons:

The breakfast was awful which was such a shame as our stay had been great until this point and you would expect better at nearly £200 a night. Croissants were so stale I only had one bite. We waited over 45 minutes for our cooked breakfasts and when they arrived they were completely cold and parts undercooked/inedible. A few other guests were sending breakfasts back so the kitchen were clearly struggling. £20 for a dog with no offer of even a water bowl is a bit steep.

Nice, modern rooms with a good location.
Pros:

The rooms were lovely, recently refurbished with AC, television with smartphone casting and a good selection of hot drinks plus a kettle. The pod coffee machine didn’t work, and we reported this on the first, second and final mornings. Unfortunately, it still didn’t work. Food wise, the breakfast service was good, but the hash browns had been fried so deeply that they shattered and were saturated with oil. We had dinner there on the first evening. The food itself was good but the service was extraordinarily slow. When we asked about this, we were told that 50 minutes is a normal waiting time for main courses. This is a lot slower than I would usually expect. Overall, a good experience, but hopefully the points for development can be worked on. 🙂

Couldn’t fault it
Pros:

Room was perfect had everything you could want. Catered well for the dog even brought him a cut up sausage for breakfast. Breakfast was great and every staff member we spoke to were kind and courteous. Check in was easy. If you’re booking for a nice base in Keswick this is the ideal location. Long stay carpark only 2 mins walk away and £12 for 24 hours.
