Great location and lovely people
We loved everything about Royal Oak Keswick,
Clean rooms ,very attentive staff, nothing too much trouble, great food.

This hotel was right on the corner in the downtown shopping area and made it really easy to go explore. We parked in the local neighborhood and walked everywhere. Great breakfasts every morning as well!

Loved the staff, all very kind and helpful. Loved how cosy the room was, and was very clean.
Found that you could hear everything going on in the other rooms and hallway pretty loud, it was unfortunate for us that the room opposite had a dog that was barking for hours none stop late into the night, which made it very difficult to wind down and then the dog started again at 6am.
This is in no way the hotels fault with the dog being so loud, but I feel like it also shouldn’t be so easy to hear the other rooms and activity outside of your own room. Maybe doors without a gap at the bottom may help with sound proofing more.

The Royal Oak was spot on in the middle of Keswick town . Yet you didn’t get any noise because of the great double glazing, the air con was a bonus too.
Comfortable bed and a superb breakfast , just what you need.
If I was being picky, the hand wash basin was small and rather cramped, but really the best was made from the given area
