Lovely place, would stay again but some actions could to improve further
Pros:

Lovely air conditioned room
Central location but still quiet enough and sound dampened so you could sleep
Good selection for breakfast
Nice clean rooms

Cons:

Old building meant creaking floorboards and doors disturbed sleep
Softer closing doors may help
Restaurant service good but took up to an hour for food to be served from ordering
Flies in the restaurant a constant nuisance. Better insect control needed downstairs as it did ruin the eating experience

Pros:

Rooms are comfy.
It is an historic property.

Cons:

No lift. The price.
The TVs state “ Welcome and then the name of the guest “. For our rooms the name welcomes was not ours. A small point, but irritating.
Car park is a little walk away, although we later discovered there is a drop off space at the side of the hotel. We wish we’d known this whilst carrying our bags from the car park in high heat.

We really did welcome Air Con InThe room during the hot spell .All in All we enjoyed our Hotel visit and the Beauty of Keswick town centre the hotel being so near no need for Taxis the bus station a 10 minute walk plenty restaurants and The Royal Oak had a very reasonable 2 course 3 course available too .

Cons:

Great service, great food - and air con!
Pros:

We had a fantastic visit to the Royal Oak in Keswick and couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome.
Rob and Lucy were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They were genuinely friendly, took the time to chat, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.

The service was excellent throughout – attentive without being over the top – and nothing seemed too much trouble.
It’s people like Rob and Lucy who make a place stand out and leave a lasting impression.

If you’re visiting Keswick, I’d highly recommend the Royal Oak. Great atmosphere, great service, and we’ll definitely be back.
Thanks again, Rob and Lucy, for making our visit so enjoyable.
Oh and it’s air conditioned!
Thanks Julie and Gary

A great pub with rooms serving good food.
Pros:

Food very good. Staff friendly and professional. Room was very comfortable. A/C was great to have.

Cons:

We visited during a heatwave and the bar/food area was overrun with flies. Not something staff could easily rectify but it did put us off a little.

Comfortable, cosy and good location
Pros:

Nice staff, good location, comfortable room

Cons:

Toilet was squeezed between the wall and shower so was a bit uncomfortable, and could have used an iron and ironing board in the room, but to be fair I didn't ask for one.

An amazing 2 night stay in a brilliant family room!
Pros:

We loved our stay here!! Location is perfect to explore Keswick. Our room was so spacious and had everything that you would need - so clean, lovely shower, great shower products, smart tv, water for arrival and a very comfortable bed. All staff were lovely. The breakfast was great, choosing from the menu and also having a continental selection on the table. We would 100% come back to stay here.
