We only stayed two nights. The lobby staff were excellent, and while we were going to the parking lot, they brought our luggage to our room. The room was large and very comfortable. We had requested two twin beds, but they didn't have any available rooms, so they gave me a standard king-size bed.
The bathroom was very large and comfortable. The entire hotel was very elegant decorated.
Visited The Bar & Grill at Dakota Glasgow for a date and had a genuinely lovely experience. The service was excellent — attentive without being intrusive — and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and well looked after. A really good start to the night.
After we finished, we headed over to Jacks Bar, and funnily enough, our server from Dakota was there enjoying a drink. Honestly, it was nice to see staff able to unwind in the same area; it says something positive about the environment.
Unfortunately, the vibe at Jacks Bar didn’t quite match. One of the guys behind the bar was literally swatting bar flies with an electric zapper — buzz, buzz, buzz — right in front of customers. Not exactly what you want to see while having a drink. We finished one and decided to leave.
The Dakota Hotel Glasgow is an office conversion project that adds modern upscale accommodations to the downtown core. Visitors arriving by rail can easily walk to the hotel in under 15 minutes from both train stations, which are surrounded by shops and restaurants, including the pedestrianized Buchanan Street. A classic double room is surprisingly spacious, featuring a sizeable entryway but no minibar. Being a four-star establishment, it is also quite surprising not to find any robes when slippers are provided. The contemporary décor is complemented with accent lighting, creating a relaxing space that feels almost too dark given the gray walls. Some annoying aspects of the bathroom include the static shower head and the small toiletry bottles ill-suited for the shower basket, which could be addressed with mounted dispensers. Despite some minor shortcomings, the hotel offers chic accommodations and a great night’s sleep in a quiet part of the city centre.

Very helpful reception staff and restaurant staff
The evening main course meal was awful. The lamb chops were so tough I couldn’t even cut them with a steak knife- in 80 years I have NEVER returned a meal as inedible.I was then given a fish dish which is not what I wanted but the choices on the menu were very limited
The overall greyness and candlelight was depressing
The continuous load music in the restaurant made conversation difficult
We stayed 3 nights for our wedding. The hotel is beautiful and in a great yet quiet location.
The service at breakfast was inconsistent. One morning we had to ask to order. And another we had a very long wait for our order and the plate was missing some items that were listed on the menu.
Complimentary glass of prosecco at the bar was a nice touch while we waited for our room to be ready as it was later than the 3pm time advertised.
Very comfy bed and excellent black out curtains.
All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel was immaculate and sparkling clean. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The breakfast is excellent with so much choice. We mixed some of the items on the Breakfast menu and this wasn't a problem at all.
Friendly relax vibe
Modern and clean. Staff were all amazing👏👏
Beautiful hotel, from the decor to the amazing smell when we entered the room! The bed was so comfortable, absolutely perfect
Nothing at all
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Subdued lighting instantly supports a relaxed and calmness in the body. Rooms are cozy and the food at both the bar and restaurant are phenomenal.

Loved the location and the decor of the hotel
Breakfast options very limited. Breakfast buffet had very limited choices
No hotel information available in the room like breakfast time and restaurant opening hours. We weren’t warned, that kitchen stops at 10 pm.
