Emmanuel was a great host and very accommodating. I needed to check in earlier than expected. Not a problem. I also needed to request my luggage be retained until later in afternoon order to collect my mother from the local hospital. Emmanuel in this instance allowed me to retain my room until the afternoon when I stopped by briefly by taxi. I would suggest this won't always be an option if room availability is scarce, I would assume Emmanuel would secure your luggage in the office.

I chose this Hotel (it's more of a self contained apartment) NO on site dining facilities, but self catering) due to its close Proximity to the Hospital in Desanzano where my mother was a patient.

Note the hospital and apartment are only a short walk but it is a steep climb up a winding road. The road I would class as not totally suitable for pedestrians due to the nature of the long winding Ben's etc. please be cautious, I live on a. Very similar road in the UK and as both a driver and a pedestrian I take extra care.

I would have no reservations in recommending this establishment for the sole purpose of function and location with regards the hospital. The apartment was very well equipped and a short walk down another steep hill there is "My Cafe" suitable for light meals and drinks etc, again hosts very accommodating (slight language issues, mainly my fault as I'd only just arrived with limited Italian) Further down the hill there are more establishments "Honore" where I had breakfast on two occasions Very Nice. There are a couple of supermarkets and other bars and restaurants etc.

We stayed here because it wax near the hospital. The location was good for us, but might not be so for others.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable.
The best thing about this residence was the manager. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He went above and beyond what we expect from staff at a hotel. We will always remember his kindness.

posizione non centrale ma raggiungibile a piedi da stazione e centro, ma stanze senza alcuna manutenzione, doccia inagibile e divano letto al posto del letto matrimoniale. il rumore dei treni di passaggio e dei vicini completano il quadro.

Non ci tornerei più. Sporco e molto disorganizzati.
Appartamenti pieni di polvere e insetti.

Health hotel ha alcuni pro e alcuni contro. Pro: sicuramente la posizione, a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico fi Desenzano; la piscina e' veramente notevole, grande e con acqua a temperatura ideale; prezzo buono se si trova una offerta.
Contro: ferrovia vicina, ma di notte non l'abbiamo sentita; ambulanze vicine; divano letto matrimoniale anziché letto.

We booked the Health House for a ten day holiday with two specific requirements - good self catering facilities (with a family of five it is too expensive to eat out every night) and a decent pool (my kids love swimming).

Both easily satisfied.... well equipped kitchen (hobs, oven and lots of pots and pans..... although needed more cutlery) and a terrific pool. On first sight the poolside area is not particularly welcoming but the pool itself is huge (25m ?) and fantastic for kids who like to swim, dive, and throw balls at each other without annoying others.
Seriously, the pool is big enough for proper swimming lessons with a shallow end and a proper deep end of around 10ft.
Completely covered, in a rather unattractive concrete apron, it was perfect for hot summer afternoons with no one getting burnt (except for those who ventured to the sun loungers nearby).

Best of all, as the hotel is not particularly big, there was never really that many people sharing the water.

The staff were excellent- really friendly, they did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The hotel is family run with seasonal workers and has a very relaxed air. Probably not the best place if you need immediate resolution of issues but if you are willing to go at Italian tempo it's perfect.
