Nice hotel, bad parking. Just wish they didn’t charge so much for hotel guests.
Pros:

The view of midtown was spectacular! We were on the 25th floor (I am terrified of heights) but it was still a great view lol.

Cons:

Parking… the hotel really needs to find a way to incorporate parking into their own business model. The company they use next door is a complete rip‑off. They charge you blindly based on vehicle size, they don’t speak English (nothing against that), and they were rude. Once you park in their garage, you cannot take your car out to travel around the city. That might be fine for people who want the full NYC walking/public‑transportation experience, but for folks who want to drive their own vehicle during their stay, it’s a no‑go.

At the end of the stay, we thought we were paying $55 per night. Instead, we got hit with extra fees for my midsize sedan. We stayed for two nights and ended up paying close to $200 even with a discount. Smh, never again.

The hotel itself was very nice though.

Hotel Met Our Needs
Pros:

Room 1108 Overall, this hotel met our needs. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and we had a comfortable stay. The hotel lobby is located on the second floor, while the first floor only has two small elevators. When you step off the elevator, you're immediately at the front desk. Unfortunately, when we arrived, a large group was gathered around the desk, making check-in a bit crowded and difficult. Once you're checked in, there are three elevators that service most of the guest floors, which made getting around much easier.

Location: Whether this is a great location really depends on what you plan to do during your stay. It was a little farther from Penn Station than we would have preferred, but transportation was convenient thanks to the nearby crosstown buses and Grand Central Terminal. There was also a Walgreens on one corner and a pizza shop on another, making it easy to grab essentials or a quick meal. As an added bonus, the corner by Walgreens offers a beautiful view of the Chrysler Building.

The hotel is also just a short walk from the United Nations Headquarters, which is a fascinating place to visit. If you're staying here, it's definitely worth taking some time to explore the area around the UN.

Room: At first, we didn't realize the closet was hidden behind the sliding barn door, it wasn't until we closed the bathroom door that we discovered it. Although the closet was small, it was convenient for hanging our coats. We do wish hotels would add a few wall hooks for jackets and bags. The room included a mini refrigerator, which we appreciated and used throughout our stay. There was also some in-room fitness equipment, although we didn't use it, and the ottomans were perfect for storing our travel backpacks. One fun surprise was a remote that controlled the room's party lights.

Our only real complaint about the room was the television. There wasn't a channel guide or an easy way to see what was playing, which made finding something to watch more difficult than it should have been.

Bathroom: The bathroom was spacious, and the shower was a good size. The sliding barn-style bathroom door looked nice but didn't provide much sound privacy. The faucet was also a bit unusual, it took me a moment to figure out that you have to bend the handle to turn on the water.

Amenities: As IHG members, we received complimentary drink coupons to use at the hotel's bar. The bar area was nice and featured plenty of outdoor seating, making it a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Pros:

Comfortable hotel with good amenities and near Grand Central and Times Square. Roof terrace is a plus on a nice day. Cons - at least one lift wasn’t working each day and staff were not as welcoming as other US hotels e.g. they could have explained the food and drink offering, as it’s self service but not clear how you would get breakfast items
