Nice but not worth the money.
Pros:

Nice rooftop pool with great staff. The rooms were fine, nothing too special.

Cons:

The hotel staff / reception were not very hospitable and everyday we had to ask for the room to be cleaned.

A+ Experience Overall
Pros:

The things that matter most to me when staying at a hotel are quality of sleep, i.e. a great mattress, quality linens and true blackout curtains, along with impeccable cleanliness and good shower pressure. Halcyon delivered on every single one. I slept incredibly well, the room was spotless, and the shower pressure was fantastic. These are the details that can make or break a hotel stay for me, and Halcyon got them all right.

So good I literally almost died!
Pros:

I was asleep when the fire alarm went off and I genuinely weighed if I'd rather just stay in the bed at this hotel. It was that comfortable!! Also, I took a 45 minute shower in the rain like shower head here. This place rocks. Krysetof at the front desk handled everything I needed as soon as I arrived at the hotel. He's a great manager and made my staff full on 5 star.

False Smoking Accusation At 3:30am Ruined Stay
Pros:

I’m currently staying at the Halcyon, and unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be staying here again.

At 3:30 a.m., I received a text informing me that a $500 charge was being added to our stay because we had allegedly smoked or vaped in our room at 9:43 p.m. the night before. We did not smoke or vape in the room. In fact, we were asleep at the time we were accused of doing so.

What’s especially frustrating is how the hotel handled it. If a sensor indicated something was happening in our room, someone could have simply come upstairs and investigated at the time. That would have immediately established that no one was smoking or vaping. Instead, nothing was done until 3:30 in the morning, when someone decided that was an appropriate time to text a guest and accuse them of violating hotel policy and incurring a $500 charge.

I then spent more than an hour in the middle of the night texting and speaking on the phone with an employee, who acknowledged that these sensors can produce false alerts and can potentially be triggered by things like shower steam. He asked that we speak again in the morning, which we did.

I expected that conversation to include an apology. Instead, I heard explanations about hotel protocol, employee training, and how the process needs to be improved. I’m paying more than $1,400 for this stay. Why am I spending my vacation and my time helping a hotel figure out how to properly handle its own systems and procedures?

There are countless hotels to choose from. Why would I choose to return to one where I can be falsely accused of something, threatened with a $500 charge, contacted at 3:30 in the morning about it, and then spend more than an hour of my trip trying to prove something that never happened?

Based on other reviews, I’m also clearly not the first guest to raise concerns about this issue. A hotel should investigate an accusation before treating a sensor alert as fact and charging a guest hundreds of dollars.

This entire situation was unnecessary, poorly handled, and incredibly frustrating. We were people who genuinely loved staying at the Halcyon. We had stayed here before, recommended the hotel to others, and chose to come back because we had such positive experiences. Somehow, in the course of one night, the hotel managed to turn loyal, enthusiastic guests into people who will not stay here again and will certainly no longer recommend it to others.

The front desk attendance, Christian and Matthew are really wonderful. I’d like to just do a special shout out to Matthew who made our stay incredible excellent coffee, excellent service and really took time to let us know what’s around and all of the perks was staying at this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel, beautiful facilities literally a dream. If you’re looking for a vacation that feels like a vacation. This is the place to stay.

True gem in Cherry Creek
Pros:

Very walkable to nearby businesses in the heart of Cherry Creek. Cozy, clean, comfortable rooms and excellent hot water pressure in the rainfall/combo shower. Front desk staff was professional, courteous and extra friendly! The young lady at the front desk made the best morning lattes! Views from the rooftop were stunning.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Cherry Creek
Pros:

The hotel was located near many restaurants and shops. The area was very walkable. The bar/restaurant in the hotel had a nice vibe and the food was pretty good. There was complimentary coffee at reception and muffins/pastries in the morning. The rooftop pool and bar were great and spacious. If that is going to be your main focus, I would recommend reserving a cabana. There were sun loungers, chairs and couches available but the cabanas directly surround the pool.

Cons:

I wish I had known earlier about the speakeasy in the basement. I would have gone there on Thursday night. Our friends booked a terrace room and the downside to that room was not chair, couch, desk or closet. But lovely outdoor space (which we didn't get to use because it rained).

Very nice, solid trendy hotel but very overpriced for an avg 4-star
Pros:

Location is in a really nice and comfortable neighborhood. The atmosphere at the hotel is good...def a good vibe and quite trendy. Room was pedestrian and not nice enough for the excessive price it cost. Very clean though and housekeeping staff is excellent. Noise level in hall is oddly a factor. no idea why but it was. Check in wasn't great experience as there are no bell persons to assist with bags which was a big problem in the rain when we checked in. The restaurant on the ground floor has an amazing staff and food is solid. Bottom line is this is not a 5 star hotel, 4 at best and terrible value pushes it to a 3.

My favorite place to stay in Denver
Pros:

I live 30 min outside of Denver. Pretty regularly my teenage daughter asks me if we can enjoy the cherry Creek neighborhood for a weekend because of all the shopping and dining in the area. . Sometimes I choose to stay here by myself when I feel like a little staycation.

At this point, they know me. I am always greeted with a smile and professional service I absolutely love the rooftop pool, which I also like to enjoy with a cup of coffee early morning. Downstairs Local Jones is a great restaurant for breakfast and Quality Italian is one of my favorite dinner. Restaurants in town.

If you’re visiting in Denver, Cherry Creek is the place to stay and within Cherry Creek Halcyon is the place to stay

Exceptional service from start to finish
Pros:

We had an incredible stay at the Halcyon. The service was exceptional from start to finish, everyone was incredibly attentive, informative, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed. Check-in and check-out were both a breeze.

The rooftop pool was a major highlight. Great atmosphere, awesome staff, good drinks, and an amazing view of Denver. We also had brunch at Local Jones, which was excellent, and finished one of our evenings with drinks at the Boys & Girls Club, such a cool, unique spot for an after-dinner cocktail.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, and exceptional hospitality. I would highly recommend the Halcyon and would absolutely stay here again.

Elite hospitality
Pros:

This is my third time staying at the property and first time utilizing as a business center for colleagues flying in from across the country. Benjamin and his staff were fantastic to work with and communicated throughout the process. Colleagues left impressed with the location, rooms and atmosphere of the hotel.

Nice hotel, but not sure it was worth what we paid.
Pros:

Our vacation rental canceled on us at the very last second, so I booked this on a hotel aggregator site for a "discounted" rate of $380/night. This is more than we typically pay for a hotel, so our expectations were pretty high.

The good:

Mostly excellent service, with a few exceptions

Great location in a safe, bougie neighborhood, walking distance from a Whole Foods and a lot of nice restaurants (mostly upscale chains, but a few that weren't) and shops, including an enclosed mall

Comfy beds with exceptionally lovely pillows

Record players in rooms

Nicely appointed bathrooms with walk in showers

Nice amenities (only a few of which we were able to take advantage of on this trip):
- "Gear garage" where you can borrow athletic gear for free
- Free rides within a 3 mile radius
- Fresh baked muffins in the morning and cookies in the afternoons
- 24/7 coffee service (including lattes and espressos)
- Nice rooftop pool and hot tub
- Free passes for the Botanical Garden and the Zoo
- Free exercise classes nearby
- Free tea service and fruit on every floor

The not-so-good:

We were in room 507, and there must have been dumpsters in the alley next to our window, because pretty much EVERY morning over a five day period we heard them being emptied, and it wasn't quiet. Imagine a dumpster full of glass bottles being emptied loudly. We also heard people throwing what sounded like bags full of glass bottles into the dumpster in the evenings.

Rooms not soundproof in general - heard our neighbors a fair amount, especially the ones above us

Pretty small rooms

Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again at the right price. I'm not sure what we paid is the "right price" for me, but it would just depend on what else was available when we booked.

Bueno pero mejoraría el desayuno.
Pros:

Lost count of how many times I have been there.
Pros:

I have lost count of how many times I have been at the Halcyon. It remains fabulous. There is attention to detail. For example: Friday night, July 31st, there was a HARD rain. The front desk manager went to get many umbrellas and brought to those of us that were waiting to go outside.
There are several front desk staff who have been there a long while and that says a lot. Gustoff (spelling?), thank you for being so helpful.
Coffee makers are great.
The attached restaurant, Local Jones, is very tasty.
(I have one small suggestion. The entry floors in the rooms could use a deep clean with water/cleaner and not just a sweep.)
