Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.

From 1st June 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4- and 5-star hotels and MYR 2 per room per night for 0- to 3-star hotels. The property’s star rating will be in accordance to the rating from the Local Council, and should the rating differ from the website, the Local Council rating will apply. This fee is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in and is not included in the room rate and taxes stated herein.

The hotel requires a refundable security deposit of RM 50 per night upon check-in by cash or credit card.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

A éviter. D'autres hôtels du centre sont certainement mieux.
Pros:

Service en chambre correct et souci de l'écologie. La seule personne agréable est l'agent de sécurité devant l'hôtel.

Cons:

Chambre minuscule, mobilier vétuste (lampe de chevet fixée au mur qui menaçait de tomber, tiroirs de la table de nuit qui ne s'ouvraient pas, tuyau de douche percé), draps d'une propreté douteuse, aucune insonorisation acoustique, alarmes d'ouverture des portes des chambres qui s’allumaient tout le temps, terrasse sur le toit fermée sans que l'on en ait été informés, personnel à l'accueil qui ne dit pas un mot, petit déjeuner au restaurant pas très bon et sans beaucoup de choix.

Pros:

Room was spacious, tea was provided in the room and filtered water machine provided on floor. Great location for walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

The windows weren't very sound proof.

The rate at Kimberley Hotel is reasonable. The toilet was clean, but there was an unpleasant smell. In the morning, it was difficult to sleep peacefully due to noise from the housekeeping staff.

Goed voor 2 nachten.
Pros:

De lokatie was goed en centraal zoals aangegeven in Booking.

Cons:

Ik heb de lokatie gekozen vanwege de rooftop maar die was onder constructie. De slaapkamer was erg klein. Handdoeken waren grauw en badkamer heel klein. Geen plek om je spullen op te ruimen zoals een plankje onder de spiegel.

Value for money, no need to worry about food!
Pros:

Location near to Georgetown area, with walking distance to a lot of great food, old buildings.

Also opposite is KOMTAR which can conveniently find a number of money changer, 99SpeedMart convenience store.

Booking a vehicle via Grab is also quick and convenience because this is a tourist spot and many driver around.

The hotels location is great. You can easily walk around to all the food stores. If you want to travel by bus, which is cheap and easy, there is a bus station nearby.
The breakfasts were as good as you can expect and reasonably priced.

The photos in the app and whats in reality are just deceiving.

The facility is just old. Rooms are so small. No amount of cleaning will take away the stuffy smell. The bathroom that was given to us was just so small.
