Friendly staffs and nice service. The property is clean. Good atmosphere.
Bathroom smells bad
Wonderful old colonial French house with quirky elevator and amazing wall hanging textiles in the rooms. Very interesting photos on the walls throughout. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy tuc/tuc to the market for a lively and entertaining ride from the wet market to Champasak.
The staff were excellent. The property was poorly maintained and in need of total refurbishment. Ripped cushions and mattress, broken blinds, broken pop up sink plug. Spare pillows were stained and had no pillowcases. There was no staff in the bar/ restaurant on an evening.
Lovely hotel and excellent staff. Really charming place on Lao standards.
Lovely boutique hotel with cafe downstairs and delightful breakfast room on roof
The staff at Sisouk were extremely helpful.
I booked in here for 1 night before starting the Vat Phou cruise and for one night when the cruise finished.
The Vat Phou cruise was also booked, and fully paid 4 months in advance, through Expedia. But on arrival in Pakse when waiting for the pickup from the hotel was told by the Vat Phou company that Expedia had never informed them of the booking, never sent the money, and that there were no cruises for the next 2 weeks.
Sisouk arranged a TukTuk to get me to Vat Phou temple and allowed me to change the dates of my hotel booking with them for no charge. So 5 stars to Sisouk. Really helpful people.
Expedia - 0 stars. Although they have processed a refund for the cruise no apology offered yet which is just exceedingly poor customer service.
Cozy, stylish boutique hotel above Cafe Sinouk - my new favorite place to stay in Pakse! Fantastic breakfast and my room had a little balcony with a pretty river view.
Nice rooms w/good a/c. Also breakfast on the 5th floor was great!
Friendly staff with a nice restaurant and bra on the Fifth Level.
The Residence Sisouk was a perfect boutique hotel. Check-in was very smooth. We loved the decor. The only downside was the lack of a double bed - we were given twin beds. I had stated a preference for a double when I booked but was aware that that might not be possible. It is a pity there is not more to see in Pakse as we would have happily spent another night at the Sisouk.
Hotel built in 1915 as a residence, and has been restored. The rooms are large and comfortable. Bed mattresses are a bit hard as seems to be typical in Asia. The wood on the floors and doors is beautiful. The hotel is quiet. Breakfast is in the top floor cafe.
It was somewhere convenient to stay for a couple of nights while passing through Pakse. The only drawbacks being the rather offhand staff, the authoritarian list of rules in the room and it was a bt noisy at night. We chose it for the character of the residence which did live up to expectations. We were given a free transfer from the airport which was convenient.
I loved the interior, the pictures and paintings on the wall well matched the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Nice, clean rooms with friendly staffs. Don't expect too much in breakfast, but you can enjoy the view from the rooftop bar where you have the breakfast. Good wifi connection.
The elevator in the building, the terrace overlooking the Mekong, the wooden floor hallway- the hotel itself is a monument. But if not a history/architecture buff, mabe not worth paying.
The decor and ambience here is great. The owner really makes you feel at home, like being invited into a good friends place. Sadly like many places in Laos, the beds are hard as rock.
Still I would stay here again for the atmosphere.
