We didn’t stay so hope we weren’t charged. I stayed here 7 years ago when it was new and really liked the lenders and the bungalows. Sadly it is neglected and probably suffered from lock downs anna lack of business
Fantastic cool little property where you have your own cabin. The only downside is how far away from the main town of Pai it is.
Amazing staff very accommodating.
The people who worked there were exceptional...above and beyond the call. Making sure my luggage was dropped off at the bus station for instance after I had to return my motor bike in the afternoon. And arranging for the motor bike rental itself! Great deal on the place as well. Don't worry about the 1.5 mile to town...just rent a motor bike ...you'll want to have it anyway.
Quite cold at night during Feburary.
Surprise & Excellent breakfast!!!
We loved the view. We loved the swing by the road. It was very kind to take us for rides to town.
ผ้าห่มเล็กเกิน ควรปรับปรุง ส่วนเตียงนอน ก็เป็นเตียงแค่ 5 ฟุต และห้องก็แคปไปหน่อย
Super comfy beds.
Huge fridge and huge TV in the room - unfortunately we didn’t really use either but I know they’re proper to have for some people!
The view in the morning from your balconies was amazing, as was the sunset in the evening and the stars at night.
A little way out of town but no problem if you have a scooter.
We stayed an extra night and although it said it was fully booked online the owner managed to accommodate us for another night in an upgraded room!
Een ontzettend hulpvaardige eigenaar, heeft ons van het busstation in Pai gehaald en na afloop van het verblijf weer terug gebracht.
Been traveling around in south east asia a lot. Last year 4 months and stayed there for almost a month. Lovely owners, they will help you with everything. Been there for 2 weeks this year and I will come back again. I got the cheaper "Bamboo" bungalow, very clean. Amazing view for sunset, like 3-4km outside of town. Just rent a bicycle or scooter and you will be fine. This is by far the best place in SEA.
Finding this place was one of the highlights of our trip. We had been staying in a mediocre hostel in the centre of town and decided we wanted a change. Odour didn’t have many reviews but they were all so positive we said we’d try it and we are so happy we did. From the moment we arrived the owners were so welcoming, knowing us both by name and being so friendly. Our hut (AC) was perfect - super clean, comfy bed, slippers for inside, balcony overlooking fields and mountains, big bathroom, warm shower, a dimmer switch for the lights (which I haven’t seen in a hotel before and was very glad of), everything was immaculate. The area it’s in is ideal - a 5 minute ride through some of the nicest roads in Pai so it doesn’t take long to get to the action but feels like you’re miles away when you’re at Odour. The staff helped us when our bike broke down and helped us to deal with a rental company that are notorious for getting violent with tourists if anything happens to the bikes - we were so grateful for their help, they called them for us and waited around with us before they arrived and didn’t seem to think anything of taking time out of their day to help strangers. Very kind people. Veggies/vegans just be cautious with breakfast as we were brought out eggs and sausages so maybe let them know any dietary requirements when you go to breakfast - there’s toast, jam and coffee as well. Overall it is the nicest place you could stay in Pai and I couldn’t recommend it more to anyone
Fantastisk lokation med den flotteste udsigt. Samt et meget venligt og service minded personale.
The family that ran the bungalows were very nice. We were able to rent a motor scooter from them. A motorcycle or transport is necessary at this quiet non developed location. Breakfast was rice soup and fruit and coffee/toast. There are some restaurants in Pai that deliver. We took that option. We were given a free ride to the bus station when we checked out.
We just decided to change our expensive hotel because we felt weren't getting a good deal for our money and we came across this hotel. We really loved our time here the attention we got was the best one in a two months trip, the staff did went out of their way to make us feel at home and they were really sweet with our two boys.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and the views from the balcony are great. It was such a difference with the last place and paying less than half the price!!!
I can not recommend enough.
Hey Trippies, in the 2nd week of our 8 week adventure we decided to go north to the village of Pai, the mountains, the air, the garlic laden fields all wonderful. Even though we are visiting in the dry season we are now on day 2 of rain, not such a bad thing if one has to hunker down and work a few days. We checked into Odour and are staying for 7 days, it has what you need and nothing more. I own an Inn in Canada and I am fussy where I put my head and spend my time. Odour's best asset is, as it should be, the owners, fantastic people, family run business, nothing else really needs to be said. The self contained bungalow we chose were the older style, no AC, better view, covered porch, hot shower, proper bed, Thai TV, super cozy and crazy ultra CLEAN, which for me is paramount. We arrived in the daylight, checked in and headed out, only to come back in the evening to a beautifully lit courtyard and lanterns everywhere. Please, do yourself the service and stay here if you are looking for a non 5 star place that caters to the essential needs perfectly, nothing more, nothing less.
We were looking for some other particular bungalow when we came across with Odour Pai while asking for directions. Owner was so nice that we decided to check his bungalows as well and decided to take it. We are so glad that we did! The place is really peaceful, bungalow was very clean, with a hot shower, on top of that there are warm slippers waiting for you. The owner also gave us 2 extra blankets as the nights were quite chilly in November. Breakfast was also included in the price, fried eggs with vegetables and bacon (yummy), coffee or tea, toast with delicious jams! They also gave us the directions what to see, which we found very helpful! Family that runs the place is really nice so we defenitely recommend it. They are located about 3 min drive out of town, but that didnt bother us, as we rented a scooter.
If you want a memorable and special experience in this beautiful part of the country then stay at Odour Pai. It boasts incredible views overlooking the mountains, yet is only a few minutes motorbike ride out of town. (We hired a bike from this accommodation at a very good price) The bungalows are also fantastic value and the lovely, friendly owners offer homely touches such as slippers, water, toast and coffee for breakfast and transfers to the station. Highlight of the north.
We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed it. We chose the cheaper room which was a 'bamboo' bungalow. On the inside though, only the bathroom was really bamboo and the rest was clay. The bed was very close to the floor so people with mobility issues may struggle a bit getting in and out of bed. There was a tv and fan in the room also. Be warned, the site said it had air con but these rooms did not. We hardly needed it though as it was not too hot. We also got breakfast included, this was only toast with jam, instant coffee and bananas, so nothing too special. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and because it is on a small property outside of town it was peaceful and quiet. It was probably about a 3 min scooter ride into town. It would be a fair hike if you were to walk.Across the road was a field with waterbuffalo which I felt was nice to wake up to. If you stay here, Pai can be confusing with directions so I will try to explain- go to almost the end of Walking street and turn right just after the Gelato shop. follow this road to the end and go left over a bridge. Take the first left and follow the road for about 2km and it is on the left. Enjoy!
