My stay was pleasant and restful and generally convenient.
Pros:

I had never heard of this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a warm and cozy feel. The staff was great. My family especially enjoyed the king suite! It was comfortable. The location of the breakfast was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I was particularly thankful that the TV programming in the dining area was family friendly. The pool and hot tub appeared inviting though I didn't swim. The hotel is only about a 30 minute drive from the Des Moines airport and Drake University. Downtown was closer.I used Uber to get around town.

Cons:

I was less pleased with the hot breakfast selection because it was the same daily and the food wasn't very tasty. Also, I wish bottled or filtered water was available. I think a hotel should offer complimentary bottled water. The hotel's location was a good distance from any restaurants so you have to drive. However, there's a gas station/convenience store next door. The pizza was good.

Ok for staying a few nights.
Pros:

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Safe location.

Cons:

Staff could have been a little friendlier when we checked in when answering our questions. The
Hot water for tea was not hot & it had a brown color. Water pressure too strong in the shower. Would really appreciate seeing some meat free, non-dairy (ex. Coconut or almond milk milk & yogurt) & gluten free options for breakfast.

Pros:

Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was so so.

Cons:

Bathroom needed update.. inside shower, caulk looked moldy. Floor had a lot of moisture after shower. Slick! Carpet seemed damp in room also.

Wonderful place to stay, will choose to stay there again.
Pros:

Breakfast was wonderful, everything was warm and well stocked. Location was perfect for us, right off I 35 and made access to Des Moines very easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was wonderful, we met Delilah at front desk, who was sweet, kind and pleasant. She made our stay even better with her welcoming attitude.

Had no issues

Pros:

Warm and friendly reception, hot coffee in lobby, hot breakfast

Cons:

The gentleman told us that we couldn't sit in the lobby after a certain our because it was closed. It didn't make sense to us but we needed to get back to the room.
