Nice place, beuatiful views, difficult location
Pros:

Very nicely set on the banks of the Mekong River.
We upgraded to private balconies and were not disappointed. The views from the rooms were very nice.
Breakfast is very nice here... tea or coffee, fresh fruit, choice of eggs, and fresh crusty bread.
Bathrooms are not the greatest, but the water is hot, and the rooms are clean.
Quite a large resort with lots of room for parking, however the location is set a little out of town, so we had to get taxis if we wanted to go out for beers. Taxis are not easy to find this part of town, and to walk is a little dangerous at night as the roads are not lit.

Pros:

Tired, unloved and a little dilapidated. The first room given had a broken toilet, the seconds A/C didn't work. We were constantly asked for proof of booking, yet they still tried to charge us at the end. They wouldn't boil some water for us, even though we could clearly see a kettle behind reception.
Nasty place, nasty staff and local tuk-tuks and taxis consider it to be in the middle of nowhere (It's 6 km from town centre) And rip you off accordingly.
Do not book this hole!

Nähe am Fluss, Verdreckte Zimmer
Pros:

only location can be interesting
Pros:

The hotel is nice located over the Mekong river. And that it all. Rooms are old fashined and need renovation, awful and expensive food, very standard breakfast with cold coffee, definately overpriced. Better look for another option of staying in Pakse.

개선이 많이 필요한 호텔~
Pros:

Pros:

Fantastic Mekong view with nice sunrise . .
Recommend a car/a bit out of town/
can not recommend for business people but ok for Tourists, due to its fine River location....
Relaxed atmosphere, service is sometimes very slows and has friendly staff.
WiFi not efficient enough.
Housekeeping is not up to it (at all) . . . . and needs a lot . . . of training
and SOP's to fix the guest rooms properly ...( Very Disappointing ! )
The beds comfort is also not up to expectations ... needs improvements asap.
A good bed (a good sleep) is the most important thing for a Hotel Guest.
Please remember this
This property needs Product upgrading and extensive Staff Training asap.

Holiday Getaway
Pros:

Loved this resort, so peaceful. The staff are so helpful and friendly, to the extent of taking us into town and pointing out the best coffee shops and restaurants. Fantastic view over the Mekong, sunrise was beautiful and the food was excellent. We will definitely visit again

Very nice place, incredible view on the Mekong!
Pros:

This hotel has a great view on the Mekong that we could enjoy when having dinner/breakfast and from our bedroom.
Most of the staff does not speak english but you always find ways to communicate and the owner speaks English and French.
We read many bad comments about the location: Indeed, it is remote from town but it was easy to find a tuk-tuk in town to bring us there for a very good price. The hotel can also call a tuk-tuk to go to town.
The decoration is great (many plants and wooden traditional decoration).
Our bedroom was clean and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the hotel was empty (probably because of the price, the low season and the bad reviews) and it was a bit sad.

Would be great if beds were good
Pros:

Great view as the hotel is just right by the mekhong. People there are nice even though service is super super slow and the people there don't speak English. The big minus of the hotel is the quality of the beds that are very hard and quite uncomfortable.

Lovely setting, lousy service
Pros:

Picked this hotel from nice description in LP, "pretty escape from downtown." Turned out it was remote from town. Beautiful Mekong River views, lovely garden, lots of traditional wood finish in rooms and main building. Internet service was non existent to super slow. Hard to find staff sometimes, and only one or two speak English. Came back from dinner and the drain in the toilet had backed up and there was a pool of unsightly mess all over much of the floor. They moved us to another room, which was a quick solution. Unfortunately we'd left the A/C running to cool the room while we were out, so we had to start over again in the new hot room. :( This appears to be a property that caters to tour groups or meetings. The restaurant is huge and has mostly group tables. Nothing going on when we were here, so the place seemed largely deserted.

It location is wrong on the map
Pros:

The Mekong view from the balcony of this hotel is great! Only this advantage is enough to stay in this hotel. In addition, if you have a plan to visit Vat Phou by boat... But, I was in Pakse for business meeting this time.
When I checked this hotel with Tripadvisor and Google map, it was just adjacent to the market area. But, in fact it was not. There was no restaurant around. I needed to pay transportation to go to and back from the town center almost equivalent to accommodation charge. Be careful!

What a shame
Pros:

Where do I start? Arrived at the hotel without a reservation but the place wasn’t booked out. I took a deluxe room with Mekong view & private balcony for $65.00 USD a night which was discounted from $85.00 USD. Checking into the room was fine but then realising that there was mud/dirt on the floor of the bathroom, bad smell and also toilet paper that hadn’t been flushed was very disappointing. It got even worst, mini bar wasn’t even stocked, bed was hard, paper thin walls, aircon didn’t work, toilet blocked up twice and mosquitoes EVERYWHERE. First night I got bitten all over my body and had to go out to buy mosquitoes spray. Breakfast is ok with 2 eggs, 1 piece of ham and deep fried sausage but I would expect more from the price that we paid for the night. The hotel is located outside of central Pakse, so if you don't have a car or transport, it is hard to get from and to the hotel if you are staying there. The only thing that I can say nice about this hotel is the view of the Mekong. I just can’t understand how this hotel is 2nd ranked highest from the problems and issues I had.

view is the only thing
Pros:

Lets start with the best. The view on the river is really nice, especially in the evening. Unfortunately, this is the only thing why to recommend this hotel. Far away from everything, the room not really clean, holes in the bed sheet, a fridge that heated instead of cooling, no safe in the room, a wi-fi, which was rather slow as a crumpet, water running in the bathroom floor instead of the drain and lots of mosquitos did not make our stay really comfortable. Furthermore, prices to rent a bike to get into town, which was too far to go by foot, were even barefaced. No wonder, that except for us, there were only two other couples staying at this big hotel.

Well done
Pros:

The staff is very helpful with whatever questions you might have. The property is well-maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were more comfortable than those at home.

Amazing views!
Pros:

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way to 4000 islands. The rooms are large and clean, it is definitely worth paying the little more for a room on the river, the views were amazing! It does state they have wifi but they don't. The food was the only problem for me, I had fish and rice, I found a maggot and lots of ants!! The hotel isn't in the centre of pakse, so you will need to get a tuk tuk. Pakse is ok if you are passing through but there really isn't a lot there.

Very Average
Pros:

Great views of the Mekong from our room and the resturant. The food was average nothing fancy. We found the hotel to be to far from town. The internet as not working the whole time that we stayed there. Yes I know we are on holidays, we had a death in the family while we were there and needed to try and arrange flights to get home, had to make the trip into town to use the internet. The rooms are a great size and very clean. Bathroom very dated and cold showers most mornings. I would stay in town next time more resturants to choose from.

Good views of Mekong if you are staying at Pakse
Pros:

It's a fairly large sized resort located on the banks of the river. The entire reception area is in level 1, and the other areas move progressively down. The dining area is in level -1 and the rooms in level -2. The dining area has some excellent views of the Mekong.
About the food menu - has soup noodles, starters, laap, stir frys and some western fare..so all in all, fairly ok. The price of 40000 kip for the mains could be on the slightly higher side.
The breakfast was quite sumptious, with lots of fruits, bread and eggs served at your table. The staff at the dining area are pretty attentive.
The room was fairly adequate and had a large sized refrigerator. Only issue was that the wifi signal ceased in the room. Hot water started only post 8 am, so if you are doing an early morning tour and prefer showering in warm water, its better to do so on the return.
I had a bit of a disaster in that my laptop power cord was Chinese spec and the hotel did not have an adapter for the same.... The desk boy was quite helpful as we made our way for 30 min into town but to no avail. Hotels having international travelers have to stock up on adapters to avoid any inconvenience to guests.
I found the resort caters to tour groups who normally arrive at night...so the place is practically empty during the day.
The hotel had links to Pakse travels for the local tours like Vat Phu etc.
A tip in case you are flying in to Pakse late in the evening - call u the hotel in advance and tell them at arrange a tuk tuk from the airport..the fare is $8 approx.
