Vedanta Wake Up - Coorg, Madikeri Town Center

Good stay. They were able to accomodate us in a busy season. Periyasamy in particular gave us a warm welcome and allotted us a nice room which was very comfortable. Thanks to Vedanta team and Periyasamy in particular.

-- No room service
-- No hotel staff only receptionist is there.
-- Food Menu is there but no Restaurant to get snack and tea.
-- Intercom wasn't working every time you need to go reception.
-- Dirty washroom.
-- Blankets was full of dust and dirty.

This hotel looked funky and hip in the pics, but actually it was terrible. There is no view from outside the window except the back side of another hotel, the curtains were such that you werent sure of your privacy. No water/towel/soap provided initially, only provided after being asked for.

Staff is very kind and helpful, probably the best thing about the hotel. All facilities are nearby.

The hotel is centrally located and all facilities can be reached easily such as, hotel, shops for purchases and also the bus stand is nearby. Some of the places of interest can be even reached by walk for those who like walking. The staff members are highly courteous, co-operative and helpful. The smiling faces and a warm-friendly attitude shown by both Mr.Surya & Mr.Periasamy are still memorable. We disturbed Mr.Surya several times over phone and in person for information and not a single time, he ever disgruntled but, all the time, he gladly helped us. Overall, a memorable experience/stay.

It was a nice experience staying at VEDANTA Wake Up! the rooms were pretty good n spacious enough. It is a budget friendly place. There should be atleast service of tea and coffee to the rooms in the morning. The staff were gud with best hospitality. Thank you for giving a gud experience at your place.

It was a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel was very good as the bus stand was just 10 min walking distance. The staffs are polite and helpful (special thanks to Suriya). The hotel doesn't have the service for lunch/dinner but don't worry, you will find good restaurants within 100 - 200 m walking distance.

Overall its a very good budget hotel. Highly recommended.

THE STAY WAS GOOD AND THE STAFFS WERE CO-OPERATIVE AND FRIENDLY

I was told that the hotel might deduct the money but once they actually did, i wasn't aware of it. I was under the impression that i have to pay the money at the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel, i asked for a private room to which they said that the room costs 1500, keeping in mind that i wasn't aware that I was already charged for the room i had booked. They charged me 1500 and in total i paid 1900 for the stupid of a room which wasn't even worth half the price i paid for it.

Please improve your payment policy. Customers are being duped this way.

What you see is not what you get. Booked a room with 6 beds but when we reached the place, we did not have the room for ourselves. 6 beds were scattered across 3 rooms. Hotel staff were so arrogantarrogant when we tried talking to them, that we finally decided to move to a different place.

The Vendatta is a hostel however is much much better than many budget hotels in Coorg. The idea for our booking was for a night to stay, not to enjoy the hotel but a place to crash and this hotel served the purpose. It was very clean and comfortable and for the rate charged it is unbelievable.

Worst experience very bad service

The stay was decent, however it was shared dorm and the guests should be well aware that this is a unisex hostel, this should be added as a condition.I have stayed in shared dorm or hostels outside India and all of them were separated by boys n girls.

The rooms were not clean n upto the mark.We preferred getting our bedsheets and blankets changed.The doors were jammed n some did not even have locks.

The hostel gets a lil noisy, if you have boys in your next room,when I shared a room with my friend, they constantly rang the bell which highly bothered us.
The staff was cooperative and adhered to our needs.

Overall it's a cheap stay,in the city,if you can manage for a night or so.
