Cons:

We were right across from the breakfast room, which wasn’t a problem until we tried to leave and there was a huge trash cart there . It created quite a funnel point with all the families and folks trying to get in and out of the breakfast room

Cockroaches & Horrible Customer Service
Pros:

If I could give negative stars, I would. Our stay was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Not only did we feel uncomfortable with housekeeping handling personal belongings while we were out (I personally witnessed this upon returning to the room), but the most concerning issue was finding a live cockroach crawling across our floor on Easter Sunday.

At that point, we no longer felt safe staying. We immediately packed up all of our belongings, thoroughly checked everything, and left that same night—driving seven hours home in a storm. No guest should have to worry about bringing pests back home from a hotel stay.

To make matters worse, it has now been four days with no response from hotel management. When contacting corporate, the only resolution offered was points, which is unacceptable given the circumstances. The lack of urgency and accountability is incredibly frustrating.

The cleanliness of the room was also below standard. While it may appear fine at first glance, walking barefoot for just a short time left our feet noticeably dirty. Additionally, during a busy holiday weekend, only one elevator was operational, leading to long wait times—especially difficult when traveling with small children.

Overall, this experience completely ruined our spring break vacation. Between the cleanliness issues, pest problem, and poor customer service, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The Roach hotel
Pros:

Had 2 separate rooms for 4 night stay for Easter vacation left after 2 due to roaches in the room. Manager nowhere to be found not a single staff member to handle any issue for customers. Main Holiday inn customer service passes the buck. Do not stay at this establishment unless you have an exterminator on speed dial.

Pros:

Good soft bed and pillows. The staff were nice and the breakfast was great.

Cons:

The view was horrible asked for ocean view and couldn't see over the dunes. Wifi was trash and things were kinda dusty in some areas. Water pressure in the shower was pitiful and the sink was overpowered

Our stay was very nice and we enjoyed it.
Pros:

breakfast was nice, view was decent and location to the beach was good. The room was clean and ready.

Cons:

Unfortuneately there was a smoke alarm that went off and we had to evacuate for 25 minutes to 30 minutes. The dune view was nice but on one side was blocked by the building.

There was a very noisy group there on Friday night. I realize that my room’s proximity to the pool was a factor. I thought I might have to complain but they settled down after a while.
