Simple. Effective. Clean. Does the job
Very warm and stuff air in the room
- Nice aesthetics
- No kettle or fridge in room
- uncomfy beds
- walls incredibly thin and other guests were extremely loud
- Toilet very close to bed
Very clean and great location in the centre of Hackney, a vibrant area with a great atmosphere.
The room was small but reasonable for the price.
Hot water unavailable during my stay but a promised partial refund for that was delivered.
Close to the train station
Starting with the Smell of the cheapest, probably of the cleaning products. The room was of the size of the Elevator. You are prone to get out of the room every time you go to the bathroom: because you must carry the key with you to go to the bathroom, which is by design counter-intuitive and they acknowledge that is common. You can only move between floors in the elevator. The room was black, with no windows and no heat (seems to be broken): that in summer is not only claustrophobic but it gets close to panic.
Right next to a station, great places to eat nearby, friendly staff. Despite the tiny size of rooms, the beds are really comfortable.
Rooms however are very hot. Request a window room if possible, but you will want earplugs if the window is open.
Modern, clean, great location
My room was too hot for human habitation. How had a new hotel not got air con in a room with no windows? And the weather wasn’t even warm. Unacceptable.
Very spacious! Great location with M&S right around the corner along with tubes nearby too.
Great to have a kitchen facility, although it can’t be used much. No tea or coffee facilities. No sugar. Few plates, pots and pans. There was also smell from the kitchen sink was very strong, I have high sensitivity to smell and it was unfortunately too strong for me.
Not a lot of pressure in the shower.
Great location, fun place to stay.
Nothing!
- I chose for a room with my own bathroom and it had a good shower and two fresh clean towels.
- The staff at the front desk were friendly.
- The door to the elevator was wide open when I first entered the hotel, so anyone could enter the hotel without needing a keycard.
- When I arrived in my room, the first things I did was hanging up the Do Not Disturb sign outside my door on the handle and locked the door from the inside. Then around 11PM there was a man pushing hard against my room door, attempting to forcefully open it while I was inside the room. I was afraid the tiny lock was not going to hold. Possibly it was a homeless man trying to break in? I don't know. I stood by the door and said "Hello?" and then he stopped messing with my door immediately and I heard him walking around in the hallway mumbling/talking random things for about 10 minutes until he took the elevator and left. I thought, If he comes back and try to open my door again, I will call the front desk. But he did not come back. I barely got any sleep after that because I was scared he would come back. I was concerned about my safety.
- In the morning, I checked out of the hotel on the first floor, then took the elevator down and noticed that the main door at the elevator was actually closed this time as it should be. Because only staff and guests can unlock it using a keycard, and it was open when I arrived the day before.
- The bed was not comfortable, very hard and thin matrass.
- There was not enough ventilation inside the room, it was incredibly hot and the AC did not function, which made me want to check out three hours early to the airport to get fresh air.
It was around the corner from Hackney central station so it was very easy to find .
