The staff were a great help at a time I needed excellent staff , the cells and paintings are are a very good difrent thing to see .

Room was lovely and the staff very attentive. A problem with the shower was dealt with very efficiently. The reception staff were very welcoming and checked us in very smoothly. The room and communal areas were very clean.
On both evenings we returned to the hotel around 10pm and there was no-one in the bar. It felt quite dead and there was no atmosphere. The bar staff were lovely though and chatted to us. We were surprised when told if we wanted to use the bowling alley, there would be an additional charge of £45 per hour.
The property was stunning. The room was much bigger than I expected which is a plus.

The hotel was clean. The bedroom was comfortable.
We were unable to check in until 6pm due to the previous guests being allowed a late check out. This put us at a disadvantage and gave priority to other guests. This is not in keeping with the information on the website pertaining to late check outs.
Upon arriving back at the hotel in the early hours of New Year's Day we were informed that the only way we could have a drink at the bar was to buy a ticket for the event being hosted in the main bar! We were not told about this in advance and the hotel details state that they have three bars in total!
Our room was not made up when we requested it to be and a repair to the shower was not completed during our stay.
I complained at the time and was told that the Duty Manager would speak to me however this did not happen until check out and then I was kept waiting and was only spoken to when I asked if I was wasting my time by waiting!
I was advised to complain in writing which I did do. I was offered a discount on our next stay, which initially I looked at availability in March but when I enquired about February due to a change in our circumstances no body replied to me. It has now been weeks as we stayed from the 30th to 2nd January.
We wanted to spend New Year in London as we had spoken about it for years. We decided to go all out and stay at a more expensive hotel and celebrate in style. Sadly this was not the case. We will not be staying there again, with or wothout discounts.
The property was mainly clean (a few hairs on the desk). The staff were absolutely exceptional - warm, friendly, they upgraded our room and were very informative. The room itself was generally very clean, large, good temperature, very peaceful and the view was lovely. The games room was superb and really made the stay top tier.
The pool closes too early. As there's a lot of facilities, it's difficult to experience all on a short term stay - perhaps 11pm or midnight would be a better time.
Room was big and clean . Very comfortable bed. Perfect location.

It wasn’t worth 5* star! £250 for a hotel not worth it! Didn’t even have toothpaste or shampoo as promised! Old fashioned
didn't go for breakfast after reading bad reviews.
It was not a 5% hotel, it was 3-4* at best. Dirty, rude reception, anemities not provided.
