Overpriced and sub par accommodations
Pros:

The location!! Steps from the beach, pier and some cute coffee shops

Cons:

The rooms weren’t very nice, the WIFI was down most of the weekend, then they said it was up and gave us new passwords that didn’t work. There wasn’t a love seat or upholstered chair or proper closet, the bed was comfortable but the furniture was shabby, my nightstand seemed to offer a phone charger, but the power wasn’t connected

Love coming here and being so close to everything. Really enjoy the views from the patios.
Pros:

Love the location and view and being able to walk across to pier and beach... Love that they supply your beach chairs and umbrellas

Cons:

They really do need to update and remodel the property , but we were told they are about to. Too bad there is not an elevator to get to those higher floors

This property is very old, the rooms have been updated. However, the AC and water heating and usage is very bad. We didn’t have hot water any of the four days we stayed there. The water stunk coming out of the sink so bad we couldn’t brush our teeth. The air conditioner did not work. It was listed as having this amenity. When we complained, to maintenance they said there was nothing they could do. The owner was unwilling to compensate us for the basic amenities that we did not have and was firm in giving us only a 25% discount when we felt it should be at least 40. The room was $350 a night for no water or air-conditioning and the fan was filthy. Would not return to this location and would not recommend it to anyone else. The girl at the front desk was nice. The only positive I could see from this booking.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

The location was great! The bed was comfortable, which was important to us.

Cons:

There were a lot of stairs. For senior citizens, that’s hard. Also, the bathroom needs to be updated. There was cracked tiles. The type of tiles in the bathroom was a little off-balancing. A flat surface would have been safer. It would have been nice to have more counter space for toiletry bags. And, the shower was a little tricky to get the right temperature. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the air conditioner.

The feel of the region aka coastal vibes. Proximity to areas my family & I enjoy.

Cons:

The lack of electrical outlets & could not find how to change channel on TV. Wasn't sure if it was remote control or tv/wifi/satellite connection

Ocean view superb, nice staff, very convenient w/ coffee shop, market, and restaurant near. Beach gear availabile. View alone from fromt facing rooms or patio area good value play.

Cons:

Parking down the street (albeit secure garage w/gate access so not bad besides walk). If stairs isn't your thing, skip. Iffy wifi.

Wonderful stay at an exceptional value
Pros:

The property was great. A typical beach room with everything you need. Great location near the beach and restaurants. Exceptional value. I would return.

Cons:

The after hours check-in process didn’t go smoothly. Need to make sure to validate email address with a verification email.

Can’t wait to book again this is my favorite place in San Clemente to stay
Pros:

This place was in the most beautiful location. I am born and raised in San Clemente and I wanted to come back to visit. This was so beautiful.

Cons:

The shared balcony was a bit of a privacy issue, but it wasn’t something we couldn’t handle
