Great place to stay in a lovely village
Pros:

The lady at Reception Julie was very friendly and check in was very efficient. We had a room in the main building and it was spacious with a very comfortable large bed. It doesn't have much natural light as it is a loft room.

We had 3 rooms together with direct access to car park which was convenient for our family
Pros:

Food and dining room was GOOD staff polite and helpfull

Cons:

Room was described as superior
Firstly we did not expect a chalet type room but that would have been fine if larger with a decent size TV. The painted walls covered in touch-up patches made the room look tatty. Fine and adequate for a couple of nights but certainly not superior and we were dissapointed

Lovley and friendly hotel, we didnt eat, but food looked good.
Pros:

Julie on reception was friendly and helpful, so was the housekeeper. The property was well maintained. Towels and bedding cleaning and room clean..great location if you gave friend staying at the lodges near by. Well located for Rufford country park and sherwood forest.
Car parking was easy.
Overall a great stay. My son said his bed was very comfortable, and I agreed.

Cons:

The room could have been cooler, I image if it was a streak of warm days 20+ degrees it could be uncomfortable, as only 1 small window on motel style room..
A fan was provided though.

Great check in experience
Pros:

Comfy bed.. it was just a night after being at a wedding all day so didn’t get the full hotel experience, but the check in staff were amazing and friendly.

Cons:

The bathroom door does not close or lock in room 4. Wasn’t spotless, but wasn’t dirty either.

Pros:

Staff were really friendly, was easy to find, great parking, was a great place to stay for a wedding at Hazel Gap Barn.

Cons:

The room we were in could have done with a bit of a deep clean, it is an old barn building so it is to be expected. Didn't fault my stay, I would absolutely recommend. But if the owners read this, please just tighten up on dusting lol!
The bed was on the harder side but again that's just personal preference.
