White House Inn on the Waterfront

Wow! What a great property! We loved the views from the lawn, and sipping wine or coffee from the Adirondack chairs while gazing at the ocean and beautiful vistas. Small, but clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. Loved how close to the spit it was. Would love to come back!

Very clean and cozy

Stunning property! The view is breathtaking! Everything made us feel right at home during our stay. Very blessed to stay here and would stay again when in Homer.

Great front lawn for enjoying Katchemak Bay and watching a pair of nesting eagles in the trees just adjacent to the lawn.

We were very pleased with our stay in the Halibut room. So much so that my husband says he wants to return next year when the weather is nicer and stay in the same room. That's saying a lot coming from him! I will recommend this place to all my friends who want to visit Homer.

We visited Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, Valdese, Seward, and homer while in Alaska. The White House in was clearly the best hotel we have stayed in. It had a big bed, a large TV, an upgraded bathroom, a large refrigerator and freezer, a great coffee machine, and microwave oven. It also had a hot tub that you could sit in and overlook The sound. We didn’t use it, but it would’ve been lovely! There are some great local restaurants that we ate at. AJ’s and the fresh cat Café were probably the best. It was nice waking up every morning to the sound of sandhill cranes, and seeing some local moose as we drove around. The manager jackie was outstanding. If I come back to Alaska again, I will come straight to Homer and stay in the White House in.

Wonderful view of bay and comfortable chairs to sit and have a morning coffee. Beds were so comfy we had a hard time getting up in the morning! Had cow moose with two calves walking outside our room! We spent 4 comfortable nights with them and would do it again!

Amazing property, will deff be staying here again on my next trip to Homer.

Nice, we’ll appointed room although it was small. The property has a nice view across the bay although we did not have a view from our room. There is no management on site and no maid service. The price is high for what you get but that seems to be the norm in Alaska.

We got Covid and could not take the trip

The location was outstanding with gorgeous views and easy access to the beach. When the hot water system went out, Jackie (property manager) was on it immediately and got it reset for us. She saved the day!!!

Lovely modern updated suite with fabulous views and hot rob.

Will definitely be coming back to visit and stay at this property!
