Recent Stay
Pros:

Very nice facility, although a challenge to locate because of Christiansburg's odd road system. We initially thought the facility had gone through a recent renovation because it was spotless and had a fresh smell. Actually, the facility is planned to have renovation work done in the future. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful as was the breakfast staff the next morning. As with other Homewood Suites we've stayed at, the breakfast menu needs to be refreshed and expanded. Overall, a very good experience and we intend to stay there again in the near future.

Great location
Pros:

Check in was easy, room was very nice and clean. Sleeper sofa was squeaky and loud, bed comfortable
Breakfast was sausage links, eggs, potatoes, shredded chicken, waffles. Opened dishwasher and it had dirty dishes still in there. Overall a good stay.

The staff were vey helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

The carpets were stained. The bathroom had a cracked tile with mold. The pillows were broken down and lumpy. The furniture was worn with collapsed cushions. The hotel needs to be refurbished.

Nice location
Pros:

Breakfast was standard for this type of hotel. The location is great and it is very easy to reach many different locations. Room was standard issue American hotel, but comfortable and quiet.

Cons:

It was a big expensive, but it seems that every hotel in the USA has gotten much more expensive.

A painful visit but with Angels on the staff
Pros:

I experienced a severe case of Sciatica and my wife had to drive us home from Winchester, VA heading to Alabama. I had to lay flat in the car. We decided to stop off here and requested a wheelchair. Instead we had two angels Donna and Charisse (a new employee) help us get me in and in a ground floor room. Charisse got me ice and pillows and helped us get settled as my wife struggled with her own pains (age 81). The room was great, the food fantastic and I cannot say enough about the great staff.
