The Residence

Air conditioning unit is effective in cooling the room. Spacious room for 3 people. The Hotel offered to store our luggage after check out which was nice. The key to the rooms feels so secure. I wasn't able to avail the breakfast but there was a balcony with tables in another floor we were led to that seems like the place for it, and it looked nice. I was able to sleep very peacefully and comfortably for the 4 nights. Hairdryer was a huge plus for me who needs one. Electric kettle was also a huge help. The washroom was narrow but efficient. I do not really need the legroom for toilet seat activities. The guard also is very nice, probably made our stay 5x better. He was so friendly. We salute each other whenever we meet. He helped us find where the nearest ATM is at night. He has all our respect.

Location and safety with friendly staff

This is a small and cute hotel. It’s very well located, super close to all the tourist areas. Also, the price is really good. I liked this hotel a lot.

The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was great too. The room has everything you need — and for me, one of the most important things: a really good aircon that doesn’t make any noise! Everything was super clean.

Also, the onion cookies in the minibar (they are complimentary) were delicious! A small touch, but I loved it.

The man at the reception was also very nice and helpful.

Stable WiFi was the most important for us and we got it!
The rooms are really tiny, but they don’t hide it, you can see it on photos.
Impressive fact is how the used a space in such tiny rooms. We even had a desk to work. They really did their best to equip the room as good as possible

I had a pleasant stay at The Residence in Colombo. The location is excellent, making it convenient for travelers. The service was exceptional, with Mr. Imran and the morning staff being extremely helpful, especially during check-in. Their warm hospitality made the experience smooth and welcoming.

Comfy bed, amazing staff

Very pleasant stay thanks to the service of Imran. Room is clean and has enough space for 2 large backpacks. Location is great if you dont mind taking the tuk tuk to some tourist areas located further away (cost <2 euro's)

Central location - Security Guards were very friendly and helpful
