Lovely room. Lovely location. Lovely food. Lovely staff. Lovely
Niente
hidden treasure! was wonderful and a private getaway in the mountains of Sri Lanka! You really feel like you’re up in the clouds, as the views from your balcony and the breakfast at restaurant are breathtaking. All of the staff that I interacted with were so warm and genuine and kind. The food was delicious and service was fantastic. If you’re taking the train, the resort is a short drive from the train station Haputhale, but about an hour drive from the main town of Ella/Nine Arch Bridge/Adam’s Peak given with windy one lane mountain road. But, highly recommend!
Great stay. Nice location. Friendly staff.
I know that haputale is somewhat cold area but if the room does have air condition, it will add more value to the room just in case of hot weather. Everything else is fine.
Everything was wonderful would definitely recommend
WiFi horrible had no reception to be able to call out or recieve calls
Beautiful location and views. Peaceful stay.
Upon check in, the staff had allocated me the wrong rooms. I had booked three mountain view rooms and instead was given two forest views (a downgrade) and one mountain view. Upon brining it up the staff insisted that I go with these rooms but pay the price of three mountain view rooms. After a lot of backs and fourths I was finally given the rooms I had booked and paid for, only in seperate areas to each other. Since I had booked weeks in advance I expected our rooms to be at least allocated together as we were travelling with babies.
Upon checking out the staff got my name wrong and was billing me someone else’s amount, which was three times the amount I was supposed to pay. I had shared my room number but they still got it wrong. Had I not checked the bill vigilantly I would have paid three times the amount I should have.
Melheim is set in a truly breathtaking setting. I was blown away with the scenery and local wildlife. The staff are all super friendly and very accommodating.
The location , room and the breakfast
Hmm nothing
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views.
Was a very long drive from Galle to the hotel.
Was rainy and there are leeches in the garden.
Some staff need to have more training and to respect the guest and not staring at their families all the time it was a disrespect for us we faced with one of their staff bad attitude we complained to the in charge about this incident
Truly the staff is the highlight of this beautiful property. The restaurant service, the housekeeping, everyone is lovely and top notch. I love the room, this is the 5th or more time I've stayed here over the years and it keeps its quality, the rooms are beautiful, the views are absolutely incredible and again, the staff is the best!
The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good.
They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.
Nothing. I had to leave, that's what I didn't like :D
Staffmember Aruna was extremely helpful, kind, and fun. E.g. he showed us amazing nature and waterfall nearby
Location is very nice. Breath taking view from the room. Room was large and clean. Bathroom also clean and tidy. They served mouth-watering food. There is a very big garden area with many birds. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a unforgettable stay.
The hotel denied having our booking and asked us to find another accomodation late at night!
VERY EXPENSIVE Hotel ,STAFF IS TERRIBLE ,THEY DONT CARE The GEST,RESERVATION STAFF IS WORST ,THEY BLEAM The GEST
The hotel is a decidedly mid-range hotel (despite the price tag indicating otherwise). It's not a boutique hotel. The property is a bit tired. The housekeeping and restaurant service is mostly very good (and was the highlight of our stay), the reception less so. Another highlight was the walk to Lipton's Seat, the start of which was an hour by tuktuk from the hotel.
