My wife and I very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Hotel Resort Inn Niseko from March 1-6.
Although the inn is located about 15-20 minutes
drive to the closest ski resorts such as Annupuri
and Niseko Village; we liked the cozy home feel of the inn (only 7 rooms and a chalet) and being away from the hustle & bustle of the ski in/out ski resorts.
We also enjoyed the private Onsen for 2 people at the property which was relaxing after a day of skiing. Also the breakfast was excellent with a different variety served each day; especially the eggs, cakes & pastries that were included with the breakfast. On Tuesdays; the inn served delicious cakes, pastries & apple crumble pie with ice cream which was complimentary. Also it was nice that they had a dry room to store your ski equipment and
footwear. Additional we enjoyed the beautiful view of Mount Yotei from our room. Overall the inn provided outstanding service and more than met all our needs and expectations.

Cons:

Because we had a very enjoyable stay at the inn; we can only say that the mattress in our room was not too comfortable as it was very soft - we prefer a firm mattress. The inn is not conveniently located - we would recommend renting a car; although the inn provides complimentary transportation to/from Annupuri and Niseko Village ski resorts and they also have complimentary parking available on site.
Because we made several dinner reservations in the HIRAFU area; we had to take a taxi to/from the restaurants which was quite expensive. For the restaurants in the Annupuri and Niseko Village areas; the inn also provides complimentary transportation.

Very relaxing, cosy atmosphere. Karin had some great recommendations for places to go and eat.
Pros:

Peaceful location. Staff were attentive, hot tub was amazing. Fresh cakes twice a week was a nice touch.

Cons:

Ran out of tea bags on day 1.

Pros:

The staff, Karin was exceptional.. very helpful.

Cons:

The location was pretty far from everything, there were no lifts to carry our heavy luggage,the bathroom was extremely small.

Pros:

Great place to stay and excellent staff, Karin is a legend and helps you out with everything. Clean and tidy rooms, great breakfast, dinner is good too and reasonably priced (albeit limited options). Free shuttle to the ski resorts though due to being 10-15 mins away from Hirafu/Niseko village it's more convenient to have your own car.
