Everything. The hotel is fantastic and one of the best even we have ever been to. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast simply amazing, the pool big and beautiful. Just perfect.

Wat hebben wij genoten van onze vijf(!) nachten in Platinum Hotel Balikpapan!! Waar te beginnen... Het luxe, sfeervolle hotel biedt alle comfort, hygiene en voorzieningen die je wenst. Maar de buitengewone, persoonlijke service en gastvrijheid van de medewerkers hebben ons het meest geraakt! In het bijzonder te noemen Aditya heeft alle verwachtingen ver overtroffen wat betreft behulpzaamheid, betrokkenheid en vriendelijkheid! Hij heeft gezorgd voor een onvergetelijk en onbezorgd verblijf voor ons met o.a. bezoeken aan de mooiste attracties in en rondom de stad.
Het hotel beschikt over mooie, luxe kamers met goed slaapcomfort waarin het je aan niets ontbreekt. Het Kantonees restaurant biedt buitengewoon goede gerechten met een grote keuze! Ook het skybar restaurant biedt kwalitatief hoogwaardige gerechten en heeft een magnifiek uitzicht over de stad met dagelijks hele goede live muziek!
Ons verblijf voelde als een warm bad en Aditya en de andere medewerkers hadden ons geen fijner verblijf kunnen bezorgen!
Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, voor ieder wat wils.
Je kunt wel een rustige kamer boeken, maar ze zitten naast een moskee. Dus nooit écht rustig als westerling.
The mosque is just right the corner and very convenient for ur Muslim guest to perform prayer, hotel food and beverage too excellent and worth for money.
No ironing board and iron in the guest room.
Two wonderful receptionist (esti n rita) are exceptional, helpful, customer service oriented.

Very clean hotel. The rooms can only be reached with the elevator with the room key, which I find very positive.
The staff is very friendly. Will definitely use the hotel again if there is one in town.

Location was quite far from city attractions. Elevators did not work properly, and there were only 3 small elevators to accommodate guests. Bathroom door inside the bedroom could not be closed properly. In-room service took more than 1 hour, and my food came cold. I ordered soup and it was already cold. Disgusting. Definitely did not worth the price.
This hotel is a very well appointed with an exceptionally helpful staff. It boasts a number of restaurants on site, including a rooftop bar with majestic views of the city. Best breakfast buffet I've ever had.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient, room was clean and nice rooftop restaurant with good quality western food

I would not recommend saying here - room key really didn’t work, basin didn’t empty, no atmosphere in the restaurant. We were unlucky and had a connecting room where you could hear every sound from next door and I mean every sound from bathroom noises to every single word spoken.
They agreed to a late check out free of charge (2pm instead of noon) then phoned us at 1pm to say we’d be charged 50% of the room rate for this….
On the plus side - the staff were lovely and the breakfast was good but I would not recommend staying here.
Nice Hotel in Balikpapan, location is a bit isolate so better to avoid if you want to stay in City.
