Beautiful location. Amazing breakfast. *Understand the restaurant schedule and rules!!*
Pros:

Breakfast was GREAT with lots of many yogurt options and several homemade jams, plus hot foods including delicious breakfast sausages. Plenty of coffee including a carafe on each table. Lots of juices and baked goods plus cold meats and cheeses.
The hotel location was exceptional. Easy to walk to key sites, cathedral, shopping area, towers, etc. The old town is gorgeous!!!
Front desk staff we met the day we checked out was wonderful. Breakfast waiters were very friendly and the older lady we met at breakfast our last day was lovely!!
Weekend front desk person was polite but very busy- I get it. She explained parking which was helpful.
The room was fine and had a great view. We'd requested two beds and got one, but were able to push apart the two frames. We got a sheet to make up the second bed at the front desk.
Great water pressure and hot water.

Cons:

* I traveled with my 77 year old dad. Our family went from Dinkelsbühl to Massenbach in 1500's and we were there to absorb the family history. We had a terrible encounter with one of the restaurant staff *the minute we arrived*, who blew smoke in our faces at the front door. We hadn't said a word and we could not possibly have offended him. We didn't expect him to get the door, and we didn't ask for or expect any help. I believe we were the only non-Germans in the hotel at the time. He harassed us when he saw us the rest of the trip. I have no idea why he disliked us so much but we avoided him - we'd turn around if we saw him. We didn't go to the pool because we didn't want to bump into him. It still bothers me because I just don't understand. My poor dad didn't do anything wrong! (If it was because of the ignorance and pettiness of our political administration, I can perhaps understand but it's unfair to blame us....we hate it, too!)

*Important: the restaurant is NOT open to walk-ins to order off menu!!! It has one seating for a 3-course meal that you must sign up for in advance, but website doesn't say walk-ins are not welcome so I didn't know this. I was yelled at by the person above - in front of other diners - when I asked (in German) if there was a table for 2 (there were some open tables). I understood once he explained the seating and said no table was available, and apologized profusely in German. I bowed and put my hands up as I apologized and walked away quickly but he was angry. I was very embarrassed.

*No elevators, and we were on the top floor. My dad is 77 so this made luggage hard to carry, but we did ok and it's MY FAULT for not seeing that when I did my research.

*Shower was too small for my father to use. It was also elevated without safety bars/grips to help someone step down safely. Also my fault for not realizing before I booked.

Pros:

Das Zimmer wurde offenbar vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert und im großen und ganzen ok. Top war: Nach dem Urlaub erhielt ich einen Anruf, weil das Reinigungspersonal meine vergessene Reserve-Geldbörse mit 100 Euro Bargeld gefunden hat. Dafür habe ich mich im Hotel ausdrücklich bedankt und 10 Prozent Finderlohn gegeben. Der gefundene Geldbetrag wurde unbürokratisch auf mein Konto überwiesen.

Cons:

Das Doppelbett stand allerdings nicht fest; kann offenbar zu zwei Einzelbetten umgebaut werden. Das Bad dagegen sieht aus, als ob es seit mindestens 40 Jahren nicht renoviert wurde. Die Dusche ist eng, das Wasser läuft schwer ab. Die Silikonfugen sind laienhaft mehrfach erneuert und sehen ungepflegt aus. Das Licht im Bad ist nicht hell genug.

It was an enjoyable stay and I would stay there again.
Pros:

We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The pool and sauna were very enjoyable as well. Our room was comfortable and had a nice view of the square out front of the hotel..

Schön zentral gelegen und alles sehenswerte über kurze Strecken zu erreichen.

Cons:

Leider ist das kleine Schwimmbad schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und der dazugehörige Innenhof nicht besonders einladend.

Freundlich und zentral
Pros:

Wir reisten mit unserem kleinen Hund, er durfte mit in einen gesonderten Raum zum Frühstücken, was sehr hilfreich war. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, alles konnte zu Fuss erreicht werden. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen draussen auf der Terrasse war gut und die Getränkte ebenfalls.
