Great enjoyed my stay
Ugh I hate to leave bad reviews but I feel I have to in case it can save one person from enduring the type of stay we had. I’ll begin with the positives: location was amazing, it was right on the beach and at one end of a nice little 2km or so boardwalk with a ton of eateries and shops. The room itself was very unique and we were awestruck upon first entering. Breakfast was good. Yup I think that’s where the positives end for us. We stayed in the China room (biggest room with two balconies, a huge jetted tub, and sauna) while a super cool room only one balcony was furnished (odd), you cannot adjust the A/C it is regulated throughout the hotel and it was HOT in the room and we had no choice but to sleep with the balcony door open, the bed was harder than a rock I mean I have never attempted to sleep on something so firm before and I’ve come across plenty of firm beds in my travels, the reception and staff were not very helpful and forgot to give us many things such as beach towel cards and wifi information, room cleaning was non existent we went kept the “please clean room” sign on the door and left the room specifically to give time to clean and replace toilet paper which they only did once in our 3 day stay and offered us to use paper towels while we waited, when asking about room service (since there was no info in the room) the answer was we could go down to the restaurant look at the menu and ask that they send us something to our room (this kind of defeats the purpose).
the hotel waz very good.
Nice place by the water..
Nice stay, right at the beginning of the board walk. Beautiful beach and pool. Room clean. Older hotels but maintained very well.
Very cooperative staff. Grant me late check out with no hesitation
Very nice hotel, I am glad I chose to stay there.
Staff always pleasant and polite.
Only one thing to mention, breakfast was not kept warm so if you went after 9, food was cold. Overall I had a pleasant stay and I will definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel, no really major problems, but the swimming pool advertised on Hotels.com was not available, serious p in the a! because I booked the hotel for the pool!! and there were building works going on.
Also we were moved between rooms without apparent reason, inconvenient!
The hallways are always noisy, and the doors are paper thin, so you always have noise in your room. Housekeeping is a mess - we had to make our own beds. The mattresses are old and you can feel the springs sticking out of place. The pool closes at 8:00 pm, so no swimming even though it's perfectly light out. The parking situation is a hot mess - we were sent almost three blocks away to find a spot. This is absolutely not a four star hotel. Two at best. The one plus is that it is right on the beachfront.
House keeping were a joke, forgetting to replace towels, toilet paper etc. Never once set foot on the balcony so by the end of the week there was quite a collection of glasses. Never hoovered so my baby sons legs were black with the dirt picked up from the carpet in the room. The vegetables for breakfast were left out all week so not very fresh by Friday. There were more problems but I think you get the idea..... I don't know who they bribed to get there 4th star but this hotel was just an overpriced 3star.
Bed was hard. Charge for ironing, instead of providing an ironing board. Needs some upgrades. Passport was given and still needed to fill out an information card.
All around poor experience, unpleasant sraff, expensive services, poor upkeep. I did go non the off season but still, it was a disappointment.
room was not cleaned when we got there but friendly staff they sorted out quickly, same breakfast every day,no service at all between season ,no gym or swimming pool,
In spite of some bad reviews, we found this hotel being particularly comfortable, nice large room, excellent sea view, a friendly stuff, free parking and very well placed (very close to the beach).
The breakfast was average but acceptable, the check in a little bit delayed, the price not quite cheap but overall it deserved the 4 stars.
Our room was to the 5th (top) floor, which appeared to be the luxury floor.
For the first time in this hotel. I am very satisfy.
Unable to check in until 6pm. Arrived from Bucharest and really wanted to shower and shave. Spoilt day really and never encountered a hotel that can't sort out room cleaning until 6pm. In the rough end of town. Most construction looked concrete, tired and crumbling post-soviet
And elevator once didn't work .
Shower was cold no hot water.
Friendly staff
The hotel was overall nice and clean. Rooms are small and walls are thin though.
We were very disappointed in this hotel. Our room was very tiny, about 135 ft.². That's not even enough to walk around the bed so the bed had to be pushed up against the corner.
The next thing we noticed was that the air conditioning was blowing hot air. The room doesn't have a window that opens, only a door to a small balcony. So we went to bed with that door open. There was a lot of noise outside, and a lot of mosquitoes came inside. And the room didn't cool down at all.
The maintenance man told us that the air conditioning hadn't yet been turned on for the season. He suggested we just open the balcony door!
The manager moved us to a different, larger room with a window that opens. They installed a screen so the mosquitoes couldn't come in. Our second night was slightly cooler. The room was still way too warm, but at least it was no longer intolerable.
Breakfast was also disappointing. It was very basic. The quality was fine and would be good for a 2 star hotel, but it didn't come close to other 4 star hotels.
Their description says the hotel has a swimming pool. That is also misleading -- the pool had no water!
To be fair, there were some positives. First, they did the best they could helping us resolve our problem. Second, the location is great, right on the beach. Third, the rooms with sea views do really have beautiful views.
But being able to sleep is very important to me, so next time I will find a different hotel.
