The breakfast and dinner was excellent. Nice, quiet place with the golf course view. The swimming pool was very enjoyable.
The welcome was warm - I was made to feel totally at home. The staff are friendly but professional at all times. The public spaces, the reading room, games room and dining room are tastefully furnished and very comfortable. My bedroom was spacious, the bed was ideal for a good night's sleep, and the design and soft furnishings complemented the hotel's style. A modern bathroom with a bath completed a perfect stay. The hotel welcomes solo travellers, couples, groups of friends, and families (with children and pets) with ease, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
I think the team at the Glenesk Hotel ticks all the boxes; the hotel's interior and grounds exceed expectations.
Stunning building,, my room looked over part of a gold course, staff were so kind and friendly, as was Daisy the cat. The meal i had was just delicious- that steak and peppercorn sauce was just delicious, and good wine choices too. If you like Gin or Whiskey mu days the selection in the bar was insane!
Wonderful staff and owner thoroughly recommend staying here
Great room, great facilities and great food, the bar is special and the staff were excellent.
Super accueil … par la propriétaire …top.
Restauration authentique ..maison à recommander
Confort dés chambres chambres ..parfait
Ne changer rien …
Standard continental breakfast for me. Those who had cooked breakfast enjoyed it. Dinner previous night was excellent
Staff on the desk great however room very dated only 1 pillow hotel facility nice shower poor room cold and we eat at the restaurant and since eating there have felt very unwell
Beautiful building and beautiful furnishings.
Relaxing atmosphere
Breakfast wasn't great for a 4 star. Continental was very limited. Hotel was practically empty and they gave us a view of the car park.
The staff were excellent. The food was very good although did not appreciate having to pay extra for potatoes and veg.
Expensive. Having to pay extra for potatoes and veg. Expensive for 2 scopes of ice cream. Being on the top floor when the hotel was not busy
The rooms and facilities were very nice and clean, a nice comfortable bed and great breakfast
The is no night porter so a member of staff had to wait around on the evening to let us in, we were at a wedding reception and we felt we had to leave early to be back to the hotel, the hotel should consider giving out a key or having a late shift, this did impact on us and we had to leave the wedding early to get in the hotel.
The evening meals were good, if somewhat over priced.
The sauna was good.
The breakfast was poor, no porridge no fresh fruit and on two of my three mornings, no cooked food at all, just a spartan continental breakfast in the middle of winter! The hotel said they had no cook those mornings........................this is a 4 star hotel where even with genius discount and single occupancy I was paying almost £150 a night for B&B...with very little breakfast.
The rooms were not serviced, beds not made, no replacement towels issued. Th shower took a long time to warm up the place was not cold but not over warm either; there was a fire but they lit it only on one of three nights.
