Location
Bathroom needed updating and bed too hard
Well maintained in certain areas
Some bits needed to be refreshed - bathrooms especially tiles missing and bath panel
Love the atmosphere at The Orwell, brilliant location.
Parking can get quite tight.
It was a bit of experience bath room looking tired
Just the bathroom a bit out dated
Nice place. Helpful. Staff
All fine
Nothing
We was told when checking in .its a lovely room .as we went into this room it was full of flys ,windows wide open .looking out of the window you could see it’s not being cared for and to top it off fire door jam open .we was in the room for fifteen minutes and the smell was not good
I loved everything about my stay, staff brilliant, comfortable, relaxing, conveniently situated, safe and accommodating to my needs, I hope to return again as I loved it!
Nothing, I loved it!
The room was ok and laid out fine, a little dated, however, I knew that before arriving
Reception staff. from the first minute to the last it felt like being there was putting them out. At check in, it is normal to be greeted with a smile, not here, the person at the desk looked rather uninterested, I then had to ask where the lifts are? what time is breakfast? Where is breakfast served? Can I get a copy of my invoice? and to make it worse, he seemed to be training someone else, so it feels to me that they are intent on maintaining this poor standard.
Was a fire in the dinning hall from the hot plates no alarm went off, and couldn’t find anyone . A lady put a wet towel over it . No one cleared it up while we were having breakfast
Dated
Room window would not open [in heat wave]very hot small fan in room no air con but air con rads out side from 6.30 to 9.30 pm very noisy low water pressure unable to use shower hot tap in sink very loose water leak 2nd floor near lift there is more at break fast ran out of bacon/sausage what was left was cold/warm we reported this and we where told they would phone us when we are home [no phone call]never ever will we stay there again the hotel needs up dating [staff where very helpfull thank to them]
Location, price.
First impression is bad. Weeds at the front of the hotel, planters with weeds and no flowers. Builders rubbish dumped just inside the main entrance. Uninspiring entrance hall, could be so much better. Shabby but clean.
Location very good and design of the hotel
Still in throes of being refurbished having been going to the hotel for a while now miss seeing the glass cabinets in the foyer and upstairs with nice quality items for sale in like jewellery, gifts etc.
Great location,friendly staff,nice spacious room
