Ein historisches Highlight auf unserer Reise durch das Baltikum
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotel Cesis ist perfekt. Mitten im Zentrum mit einem wunderschönen Park drumherum. Alles fussläufig erreichbar, was man als Reisender braucht. Man findet sogar direkt gegenüber einen Waschsalon.
Unten drin im Hotelgebäude gibt es eine Art Café. Man kann dort aber auch Pizza, verschiedenem Fleisch, Gemüse und Salaten plus Beilagen wie Kartoffeln, Nudeln oder Reis für kleines Geld, bekommen Auch gibt es Kuchen, Eis und Desserts, sowie Getränke aller Art. Und das den ganzen Tag über. Wir fanden das echt super klasse und haben deshalb auch kein Restaurant in der umliegenden Gegend besucht. Man kann eigentlich den ganzen Tag auf der Terrasse sitzen und auf den wunderschönen Park und Teich schauen. Wir haben uns eine Auszeit vom Reisen genommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diese Unterkunft guten Gewissens empfehlen. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles angeboten, was man sich wünschen kann. Uns persönlich hätte etwas frisches Obst gefallen.
Unser Zimmer war zwar klein, aber hatte einen tollen Blick zum Park. Das Badezimmer ist perfekt renoviert und passt sehr schön in den historischen Rahmen des Hotels.

Cons:

Was einen Minuspunkt gibt, es hat keinen Aufzug und wohl auch niemand, der einem mit dem Gepäck helfen könnte.
Da wir in der heißesten Zeit dort waren, war das Zimmer entsprechend aufgeheizt und die zentrale Klimaanlage hat es wohl nicht mehr richtig geschafft dieses ganze Haus kühl zu bringen. Auf Anfrage haben wir aber einen Ventilator bekommen, der hat das ganze etwas angenehmer gemacht.
Ebenfalls vermisst haben wir einen Safe und einen Kühlschrank.

Easy and fast walking connection to city center, grocery store Maxima very close to hotel. Silent rooms, good shower.

Cons:

No restaurant for dinner available. Only a coffeebar. TV channels are 5 German and few English ones, no other choices.
