Nagyon hangulatos szállás Gili T északi részén. Ez azt is jelenti, hogy csendes rész de közvetlenül a fehérhomokos tengerparton. A személyzet barátságos és segítőkész. A sziget középső részének eléréséhez kérékpár bérlése ajánlott.
Location is very far away from everything. Its for families and honeymooners. Lots of little ants in the bathroom. The staff is very nice and good breakfast.
- very friendly, helpful staff
- delicious breakfast at the beach (tables in the sand) with fresh made bread
- beautiful small cottages, with an own terrace (with a outdoor sofa-bed including a mosktito-net)
- nice half-outdoor bathroom
- great loacation in the quiet part of Gili Trawangan, directly at the turtle-beach
Two villas rented by our family and mine was the large upstairs one at the front, overlooking the beach. The rooms were spacious and clean and well air-conditioned. Lots of ants though so, you cannot leave any food for even the shortest moment. Mosquito nets were a great benefit and moreso for the flies. Our stay was very comfortable and there was access to hot water in the showers but, only just for a few minutes. Breakfast on site was delicious and prompt every morning. Swimming pool was cool compared to the sea water so, proved very refreshing. Afternoon tea and cake was most welcome and the team were always so very helpful. The villas are located close to turtle point and so just a short stroll to swim with turtles. Away from the busy-ness of town yet close enough to take a nice walk into town. Will definitely visit again. thank you Alam Gili
Excellent stay again, staff still friendly as ever, beach and sea everything you could wish for. Wish we could stay forever. Will be back again next year. Very good massage, pedicure etc.with Renee right next door on the beach.
A lovely, shady property with established trees and lots of bird life and a clean freshwater pool (desalinated water). Excellent breakfast under the trees on the private beach and sun loungers, beanbags and hammocks to relax in. All the staff were wonderful and very helpful. No annoying reggae/hiphop/techno music from bars - only the sound of the birds, the sea swishing up the coral and sand beach and the clip-clop jungle of the horse taxis passing by! Boats don't beach here (the reef is very shallow at low tide) so there is no noise and fumes. We arranged for the hotel to pick us up from Lombok airport and our driver was very pleasant, drove very well and stopped happily for us to take photo's - be aware that a lot of drivers in Lombok are not licensed and their cars are not air-conditioned!!!! He saw us onto the speed boat which dropped us off directly in front of the hotel (it was high tide). It was well worth it and hassle free. Snorkelling directly in front of Alam Gili was stunning and we saw lots of turtles and fishes - you don't have to go to "turtle point". It's a short walk to restaurants on the shorefront and a bicycle ride away to the hectic harbour area. Bring a head torch if you walk or cycle inland after dark! Bikes are for hire - standard rate everywhere Rp 50,000 a day. There is no fridge or kettle in the rooms but water bottle refills are free and they serve delicious free cake and afternoon tea. The bungalows are clean, comfortable and spacious but they are in need of some t.l.c. and updating as they are looking tired and worn. There is a lot of development on the NW coastline and Alam Gili needs a facelift in order to compete with these other properties but I hope it retains it's original charm and character as it is a delightfully relaxing place to stay. Loved our stay and the peace and tranquility here.
Came here as a family of five and we all loved it. The rooms were nice, the staff friendly and great snorkeling with turtles right out in front! The breakfast was big and yummy and afternoon tea was good also.
Alam Gili is resort in front of the beach, privat acces, rooms are clean and bed very comfortable, breakfast was very good, service is very helpful and nice. Swimmingpool could be nicer, is small and not so nice area.
If you are looking for hotel in Gili Trawangan that would offer you a hide away together with comfortable accomodation you should definitelly choose Alam Gili. We were travelling to Gili without booking a hotel in advance so we could compare the hotels here and we decided to stay in Alam Gili- it was a perfect choice!! It has traditional Balinese architecture, lots of greenery and a pool with fresh water. The romantic and clean beach is right next to the hotel. Location in the north-west coast pf island is the best one because of beautifull sunsets, clean beach, quiet surroundings and romantic scenery. Restaurants and island centre are still very close (10min walk). There is a turtle point with a lovely beach also close to the hotel. BUT- the most incredible thing in Alam is it’s amazingly friendly, helpful and supporting staff!!! The hotel can organize right away literally everything you need- just ask! Loundry, horse back riding, snorkeling, boat ticket to Bali, horse taxis etc- with prices better then you can find in the island centre. And of course- free coffee, tee and cake whenever you like :))
Friendly staff and great location. Nice being able to have the free afternoon tea. Generally nice breakfast except the last day the bread at breakfast was mouldy.
The rooms were very dark and unclean - insect droppings, cockroach eggs etc . The toilet seat was filthy - badly marked and had lots of mould. I had to point this out to staff twice and still only half clean. The shower was a dribble of water. Neighbours daily lit fires which resulted in a smoke haze settling all over the property as so much vegetation, so was unpleasant to sit outside a lot of the time. Our rooms were beside the kitchen which resulted in early wake up calls with the noise.
What I like about this hotel, its natural feel seems to mingle with trees, the chirping of birds around our room which is also made of natural wood, in addition to its friendly service.
So natural that it seems rather sacred and Balinese nuance at the same time with its perfume incense.
A beautiful beach (in the northern part of Gili Trawangan) and a Natural Resto on the front of the hotel, very comfortable. Unfortunately there is no Indonesian style menu. Also becoming an obstacle is an annoying mosquito and an office boy who dares to enter the room when we are not inside without permission. The room price is in accordance with the facilities and room size, but the bathroom and amenities are not comfortable
Me and my wife we spend 2 nights in the hotel. We found very nice this place because of the room was very clean and cool style, the hotel good located just in from of the beach and amazing breakfast on the beach. Stuff very gentle and useful. We are very happy overall.
We had a super stay here with my family. Made and his staff really helped us when my kids got sick. The port side of the island is rather busy, but Alam Gili is Peaceful and beautiful a real gem on Gili T, i would be happy to stay here again another time.
Accueil très chaleureux, personnel disponible et attentionné.
Petit déjeuner sur la plage au top. Salle de bain extérieur atypique et magnifique.
Chambre spacieuse, climatisée et reposante.
This was our first time at Gili Trawangan but we are sure we made the right choice with this hotel. Alam Gili has typical wooden bungalows with beautiful semi-open bathroom and a small porch with table and "sofa"; rooms are in good condition, with air conditioning and every day the staff come to clean and take care of all the mosquitos... There is a private beach where you can have a rich breakfast in the morning and tea and sweets in the late afternoon. We never used the pool because the sea is so wonderful, one of the best spot for snorkeling near the shore. The staff is simply amazing!
It's not right in the centre of night life, shops and bars but it's the perfect choice to relax and with bicycles you can reach the centre in 10 minutes
Excellent location - right opposite the beach. I was told by a few of the locals that it's the best spot for snorkeling as the reef is right in front of the accommodation & it truly was amazing. I couldn't believe how many fish I saw & you can see turtles a little further up beach - the locals can point you in the right direction.
Hotel staff very attentive, accommodating & friendly.
I cannot fault this place. Enjoyed my stay very much.
Nice & quite, away from the hustle, bustle & noise of the island centre which is exactly what I was after.
We came to Alam Gili as my daughter was learning to dive and we have previously stayed in and loved many of the Alam Indah boutique hotels in Ubud. Alam Gili has many similarities and some very Gili Isle differences. It's not quite so lush and green as Ubud, yet you have the ocean lapping at the doorstep. You can eat breakfast on your verandah or in the sand on the beach in the shade of trees.
We'd intended on being active and going diving too, but every morning as the tide came in we went snorkeling off the beach and saw such an array of marine life that it didn't seem necessary. Unfortunately there is a lot of broken and damaged coral, but enough good stuff that this wasn't a problem. Also plastic litter both along the beaches and in the water which we tended to pick up or grab while out snorkeling in the hope that the turtles that we saw each day weren't ingesting it.
We had the seafront room with a massive veranda/balcony that was ideal for us to enjoy. The bedroom was a little hot and we were given extra fans. My daughter slept on a daybed with mosquito net on the veranda and had perfect night's sleep.
The breakfast as always was excellent. Due to Hari Raya there were no afternoon tea cakes so we had the most delicious fried bananas instead. We had dinner at the hotel too, which was good.
Most of the day we spent snorkeling and lounging around the hotel and occasionally cooling off in the pool. Most evenings we wandered into town - so close yet a world apart with its noisy, bustling nightlife.
The staff at Alam Gili were all superb.
Another good holiday - thank you Alam Gili :)
I visited Alam Gili in March 2018 together with 3 friends, and I'm a little torn about the experience.
We had read a lot of good recommendations of this place, and it was definitely true, that the staff is extremely friendly and smiling which is a great plus. Also, the location of the place was really good if you are looking to stay at a quieter corner of Gili T. After having walked around the entire island one morning we had no doubt that we chose the right spot.
But there were a couple of negatives that deduct from my overall impression. The cabins are pretty spacious and with nice outdoor bathrooms, but the hotel is definitely somewhat worn and old, and the cabins weren't all that clean, and just so damp and filled with insects (that could be general in the Gilis, I wouldn't know, but even several days after leaving the place my clothes still smelled moldy).
Also, we had a couple of bad experiences in the hotel-restaurant (which is nicely situated on the beach). The food was really good, when they had it. While we were there, they ran out of a lot of stuff (maybe they didn't want to order it home since it was low season and not many guests). Also, one day for lunch, we waited 1½ hours for our food. They apologized a lot, saying that the kitchen was really busy (we counted 6 other guests!).
So all in all, a mixed experience. I feel almost bad for giving a mixed review since the staff was so friendly and the location is so great, but still...
