Amazing stay
Pros:

Beautiful location, stunning views to wake up to. Very helpful and friendly staff. Dogs were allowed in the bar while we watched the football with a drink and a snack.

Relaxing, picturesque and cosy.
Pros:

Fab, picturesque location, friendly and helpful staff, fab food but a bit expensive. Would definitely stay again. Great for travelling with a dog.

Cons:

Bathroom was freezing but pod was toasty.

New Year’s Eve dinner was exceptional. Staff were fantastic. Great location

Cons:

The rooms were a bit worn down but considering this is a hikers hotel it’s to be expected with muddy boots etc.

L’emplacement

Cons:

Le lit était petit. L’hôtel est très vieillot, on se croirait dans the Shining. C’est même assez sale. Le personnel est obséquieux. Je venais seule et je suis une femme noire. Je me suis installée à une table, et une serveuse du Nigeria est venue me voire pour me demander d’où je venais et me dire que sa collègue croyait qu’on était amies et se demandait si j’allais payer. Beaucoup de familiarité avec les clients. Ensuite j’ai eu ses collègues indien sur le dos pour payer au plus vite pendant tout le séjour. Très mauvais souvenir.

Overpriced and not comfortable
Pros:

It was next to the loch but there are better places

Cons:

The Bothy is pretty much road side, and the noise from the traffic wasn’t great it continued most of the night.
The bothy was tiny, very limited natural light, therefore making it very warm through lack of windows to open.
The dirt behind furniture was grim, it needed a good clean.
For the price paid it was a huge let down.
The breakfast was ok but nothing special/delicious

Pros:

The views from the restaurant and breakfast room were stunning. Lochside benches to enjoy food and drink were perfect.
Cleanliness generally of a very high standard.
Food was comparatively priced for the area and of a good standard.
Beds were comfortable. The bathroom has been fairly recently renovated and was good. The hotel is gradually being brought to a more modern decorative style.

Cons:

The facilities in the rooms let the room down. Bedside plugs were very limited. Chairs took up a lot of space in the room. We and others on the floor had issues opening the doors as they were too tight. Extractor fan from kitchen left on which was by our room window.
