Very central, room adequate, and bathroom was HUGE! Water nice and hot, even though it was above a pub noise was fine
No information booklet in room
Nice food nice staff in restaurant
Was a screw sticking up on a cupboard took them 10 days to answer to email ….email received wasn’t worth reading …ruined a clothes item, what would happen if it was a finger that got cut or a child’s hand ? no one on reception to complain about …
Comfortable bed and clean room
Having to now pay £10 to park your car for 24 hours
Room was simple and I thought at first a bit sparse - not enough desk/surface space but it turned out to be just fine. Bathroom was simple but again all worked and was fine.
Didn't like the heating. Room was very hot and even though the radiators were turned off the only way we could get a bit cooler was to open the windows - which was overlooking a street so made for a fair bit of noise
Beautiful old pub. Full of character. Good food
Couldn’t close the bedroom window without help from staff and then couldn’t open it again. But the staff were very helpful. Room didn’t have air con and it was a very hot day
In Mid May just before the heat wave, we spent three nights in a room in the new part which was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean and quiet with excellent bed. Furniture was a bit sparse, everything including clothes hanging rack was open fronted; there were no drawers of any sort and the only chair was for the small desk. With plenty of space, a couple of tub chairs would have been welcome. Location is 5 minutes up the hill to the Cathedral and close to a tunnel leading to the historic Quays Area. The £10 per night car park at the back with hotel entry from it was a real bonus. The Secret walled garden with vines and palm trees was a surprise in such a lovely rambling old bulding. The breakfasts were cooked to order and the evening meals were also very good, served by hard-working friendly staff. Drinks seemed a bit pricey, but Georges Meeting House, a chapel converted by Wetherspoons, is opposite. Excellent location to explore the city and the local coast.
Could have done with a residents lounge with some setees.

The tv reception was poor
The location was central
The room was unbearably hot as the bathroom heating was on and staff were unable to switch it off. I asked for a refund to change hotels and was offered a free breakfast which I didn't need. I was told it was because the weather was hot and that I should escalate it the following day as I can't always get what I want immediately. The next day I was told to raise the issue through booking.com but that the chances of a refund were essentially zero. Staff were surly and rude throughout and I'll not stay there again.
Quirky historic inn, the staff are lovely.
Great breakfast, and a pub downstairs that isn’t noisy- just nice.
The TV was difficult to use- not programmed properly.
Comfortable room but too hot. Suggest curtains are left drawn during day if it is sunny to try to keep room cooler.
Location handy for canal path and town.
Heat in room.
Location, parking, friendly staff, clean and comfortable beds
Nothing
Beautiful location, wonderful food, room was nice & comfortable. Very friendly staff.
Only 2 teabags available in the room
Good location, friendly, easy check in and check out, clean rooms, decent value for money, I'd stay again in cooler weather or not on the warm top floor
The room on the top floor was too warm with no way to cool it down, and the heating rail was very hot acting as a heater and on permanently, and the shower temperature didn't work
