The breakfast was really good and great selection. the poached eggs were done to perfection.
I loved the decor.
The staff were great visited the sister hotel across the road and sat on the terrace, we were really lucky with the weather and the views were amazing. The stable block was stunning.
They staff were really attentive and great with my fathers dog gave her water and treats.
Perhaps convert some of the rooms make them more accessible for people with mobility issues, a mat in the show and a grab handle. My father is in his mid 80's couldn't use the shower during his stay.
My single room which was lovely but was the same price as a double room and no view to speak of.
The evening meal were really good apart from my desert the Affogato was served with cold coffee instead of hot coffee. My father salmon for his evening meal was nicely cooked but was bland.
Homely from the minute you arrive
Lovely hotel, great location and friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was also exceptional.
The parking was limited and very tight. There were also quite a few cobwebs in the room, which made me question the cleanliness.
Location was perfect. Staff really friendly. Food and drink amazing.
The bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned properly (hair grip and hair on the floor). There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. That didnt stop us from having an excellent stay though.
Staff were very welcoming upon arrival and the building itself is stunning! The bar area, and snug and dining areas are all clean and decorating beautifully. Our room was clean and very comfortable! Very little noise and we slept very well. Breakfast was tasty and there were several options to choose from, outside there was adequate parking on site and a lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy!

The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good, as were the evening meals. The rooms are dog friendly so you may suffer barking coming from some of the rooms, but it did not bother us. The parking can be difficult as many come here for lunches and dinner. The Victorian house has a lot of charactor and atmosphere which made it for us and the location near the lake for walking is excellent.
Difficult to fault, apart from it being constantly busy, but that is due to it being so good.

Great overall location for exploring by car
Parking a little hard at times.

No space in car park but resolved kindly by staff at restaurant over the road. Very difficult with no outside light in darkness to park. Shower in room 21 does not work. Facilities for drying hair poor due to mirror position high on wall. Dressing table mirror would have been ideal.
The food was exceptional!! The staff were super friendly, and a great range of whiskies on hand. Breakfast and dinners were amazing. I could not recommend this smashing little gem of a find enough. For those looking for a hike or walk when there, you are 2 minutes from getting to a trail for the local mountain range.
I cannot find fault with any part of the hotel or our stay. The price paid was well worth the money. Food, beers, whiskies, and accommodation was all well worth it.

Bedroom was located over kitchen, the drone of their extractor fan was distracting. Some additional background noise too.
Toilet facilities were tired.
Food overpriced.
Our second visit to this hotel, things weren't as relaxed...felt like cutbacks were arising.
