So the pool deck was the highlight..but that’s where it ended for us..
Pros:

Nice location and cool atmosphere on the 6floor deck

Cons:

Over priced with way too many fees attached..plus my room and hall ways smelled like a wet dog

Too big for its britches
Pros:

Loved the lazy river, wife loved the gym, everything else, well...very average, especially for the price paid. Our stay was fine, rooms a bit small, bathrooms felt a bit old. What I was not a fan of was how almost every interaction I had with an employee felt like a chore to get help, and they seemed disgruntled. There was very little service with a smile, and that's the kind of thing that deteriorates perception. I'd come back for the river, but that's it.

A great hotel with a very nice pool deck
Pros:

This is a great hotel. Make sure to ask for a room in the renovated wing (we were told it was better). The gym is large a has plenty of equipment. The pool deck with famous lazy drift pool shaped as the state of Texas is very nice. Two things pull this down from a 5 to a 4 rating. The charge a resort fee of $25 per day that you can use for food. That’s a bit greedy in mind. Secondly the service on the pool deck was non existent despite asking for a server to come (which was promised).

Mixed bag
Pros:

Mixed bag, for sure. Long check in line, but wowed Curry who sent complimentary champagne to our room after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Check out was ridiculous. Waited in line to tell them to charge valet parking, and they told us that the valet could do so. Went outside to the valet who, of course, couldn’t charge anything and told us that only the front desk could charge. So, had to go back, stand in line, again, and tell them to charge the valet fee so that we could finally have them go get our car. Asked what we could do differently… “nothing”. Thanks, Marriott. Always great to be Titanium Elite.

Very noisy. Hotel should have quite hours. There was a whole party in a few rooms down. Hotel staff were in the hallway, but didn’t stop them. 2:30-3am very loud woke my kids up several times

Due to parking probably won’t stay again and will certainly pass the word. Would have been cheape
Pros:

Didn’t have breakfast. Did eat in Bigios restaurant. Had the Queso Fries and chicken. Bit down on a piece of hard plastic while eating those. Looked like the plastic that holds chickens legs together. Showed that plastic piece to the waiter. He said he would show the kitchen.
Self Parking was shown to be Fifty dollars on Marriott paperwork. Was charged Eighty Four dollars to depart the garge for less than twenty four hours.

Cons:

Room and view were very nice.
