Comfortable and helpful staff
Even though my visit was short the staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival, food was very nice even though it wasn't my first choice. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was nice and comfy. There was a couple of issues with the room, the remote for the tv didn't work, the bed moved about a lot and the ledge above the sink was in the way so was trying to avoid bumping my head to look in the mirror, but overall a very good stay, i would come back. Also Breakfast was very nice
Good food choices. Breakfast was good.
Just a small thing, an additional milk carton would be ideal (4) in total, so the tea isn’t boiling for a morning brew
Otherwise it was a lovely stay
Brilliant!
Thank you.
The welcome at Palmers was excellent, so friendly and helpful. We arrived well before check in time, but this was not a problem. We had a drink and some lunch from the pub menu which was really nice and great value. When our room was ready, we were told so and to call at the bar for the key when we were ready.
A lovely setting in a small quaint village. A bonus we check out today (Friday) as the village holds its weekly market on the Main Street which we shall visit after breakfast.
Long Sutton is a very nice peaceful village. The Ale house was perfect for our needs. The food is very good and with breakfast included it is good value for money.
I work a lot in the area and Palmers Ale House is my only choice when it comes to finding somewhere to stay. The food is fabulous, lovely staff and a good selection beers and wines to choose from!
Lovely place
The staff were friendly and the rooms are clean and modern. They lack a desk which would be useful and the WiFi code wasn’t provided. The main issue is that breakfast was not available until 08:30 which isn’t of any use if you need to get somewhere for work. A box of pastries was left by the door, but it’s not a healthy option. For my second night I had to buy breakfast from the coop for additional coffee and some healthier fruit options. So I paid twice for breakfast.
I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed at Palmers and as always the staff were really welcoming. the pub has a great ambience and the food is excellent. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable.
Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the pub was perfect after a decent drive and the choice of beers were great.
Room was clean, comfortable and breakfast was made for my early check out.
Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area
I recently stayed at Palmers, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. My college who I was travelling with managed to book the following day but the staff quickly got a room ready. The check-in process was seamless, and I was warmly welcomed by a member of staff.
The room was immaculate and well-appointed, with tea & coffee making facilities, soap, shampoo and conditioner. The room was warm and cozy.
One of the standout aspects was the amazing tasty food and the breakfast had a variety of fresh and tasty options, catering to different dietary needs.
Throughout my stay, the team demonstrated exceptional hospitality, always ready to assist with a smile.
I highly recommend Palmers for anyone seeking a family-friendly getaway or business-friendly environment. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
A hidden gem. Nice room, and a good breakfast. The pub looked good restaurant looks good.
There is no car park but this is not a problem. Ample on street parking from just outside the door.
Comfortable business stop over
Room was boiling hot but did have a fan. Church bells ring every hour all through the night. Food not the best but do have gluten free options. Chips were rock hard & inedible, felt microwaved. At breakfast, the cleaner was hoovering & spraying windex around me so felt uncomfortable. Found a dead bug on bed. Only had a small hand towel with holes in, not a bath towel.
Good
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room
Convenient, good food, friendly staff.
Short business stay, very welcoming staff, nice breakfast. Booked single bed rooms just because it was overnight stay, room quite small but comfortable and I think price fairly reflected this, not overly expensive. Downstairs bar was nice, staff helpful and polite. Small town with a few dotted businesses and pubs helped pass time when not at work.
