Breakfast at restaurant was delicious and a fair price.
Lobby coffee was great. Concierge was very nice and helpful. The front desk crew did a nice job of meeting my needs. Pike place market is always so fun in the summer.
More coffee pods in the room. The front desk brought us some. The nest is crazy and expensive. They need a.better group managing that place and preference for hotel guests.
We had a wonderful stay. After a a/c malfunction in our original we were upgraded and original invoice discounted. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms are gorgeous. Walking distance to the market, pier and aquarium. The blackberry rum concoction at Nest was fantastic. 10/10 will be returning.
Great location, walking distance to many attractions. Hotel staff friendly. Rooms are clean and modern!! We were able to check in early which helped plan our day in Seattle. Close to great restaurants and the market.
Thompson Seattle was a wonderful hotel. It was perfectly located near everything we wanted to experience. The hotel staff was amazing and the rooms were nice and clean.
Absolutely worth every dime! These folks are worth it because they take care of you! They have patience. They are kind! Only place I’ll stay when I visit! Wow!!!
Amazing property. Fabulous location. Best French Toast on Earth.
We had a great experience for our first time to Seattle, staying at The Thompson. The valet staff were right there to assist in getting parked and our luggage out quickly and with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. This was appreciated after navigating the significant traffic of the area. Then as we made it to the main desk to check-in, Abbie really created the welcoming experience by saying our names and then remembering them, knowing what we were looking for, and she was proactive in answering our questions before they were asked. Throughout our stay, she greeted my wife and I both by name which really helped to make the experience even better. Well done Thompson Team!
We love visiting The Nest in Thompson Hotel in Seattle, and last weekend we took my sisters there. Sadly, it was way too crowded (standing room only). We had already paid our cover charge, and when we asked if we could be reimbursed, the general manager (Taylor) was incredibly gracious and helpful in reimbursing us, while also managing a very busy night. She was so engaged and kind, and we’re so appreciative of her hospitality (which seems hard to come by these days). Thank you, Taylor! We will be back soon!
Exceptional hotel, staff and accommodations. Get a waterfront view room - it is worth it! The in-room dining was delicious at breakfast, and the roof top bar has an incredible view!
My husband and I stayed here 8 years ago and it was amazing. This trip was horrible.
The location is super close to Pike Place which is amazing, but thats the only good thing now. When we arrived at the hotel no one offered to help us with our bags which we had to drag up steps to the lobby. We were a 40 min early to check so we were told the room wasn't ready and they would text us when it was, which is totally fine, but there was no where to wait really except on the sofa in the lobby. The restaurant closes from 11am to 5pm and the Bar upstairs doesn't open until 3pm. While we watched other guests check they were given prosecco which would have been nice while we just sat there waiting with no where to go. We never received a text so my husband had to go up and ask the desk once it was past official check in time and had to ask for the complimentary bubbles as well.
We did get upgraded which was great. The views were incredible. The room was gross. The bathrooms still had soap scum around the the handles of the shower and counter, their were stains all over the rugs that were also so worn down and dirty. There was no way to plug in the coffee maker. My husband moved it to the floor in the corned to find an outlet. There were huge rips in the curtains. We were given a welcome amenity a few minute after arriving to the room of warm Pellegrino bottles and a small bag of popcorn and nuts.
We waited until 5 to finally at least order some room service, but the menu was seriously lacking and it was the exact same menu as the restaurant. We decided to order from Uber Eats instead. When it arrived, the driver left it at the lobby desk so we went down to pick it up and no one even questioned if we were the guests who ordered or anything. Just no acknowledgement whatsoever.
The noise level was awful even on the 7th floor.
Honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I have stayed at Holiday Inns that were cleaner and nicer.
*I wanted to take photos of the rugs and bathroom, but it was too gross for me to even look at*
Service - I have to start with reviewing the service, because the Thompson was a terrible disappointment in this regard. For context, we booked this stay in the Water View Studio Suite months in advance for our wedding in June and we specifically made this known to the events and sales team. While I wouldn't want to presume that any special arrangements would be made for us, I was surprised that representatives from the Thompson did not even have the grace to wish a small congratulations. This unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the service that we experienced during our stay.
We arrived at the hotel to check-in at 4pm were surprised that a full hour after the scheduled check-in time of 3pm on the reservation, the room was still not ready. While we were appreciative of the fact that the World Cup was happening in Seattle, we were further frustrated by waiting an additional 20 minutes in the lobby and only getting our keys once prompting the front desk. The front desk was not ever busier than serving one guest at a time with multiple staff at the counter so it was frustrating that a member of staff did not come to notify us less than 15 feet away that our room was ready.
We were further shocked that when our bags were brought up to the room, the bellhop left our door completely open, which we did not realize for ~30 minutes given that the layout of the room is such that the door is not in line of sight from the main parts of the room. To the Thompson's credit, there was a small welcome gift ready for us, though the confectionery included peanuts in them, which we are allergic to. Small details in this service continued to disappoint us (e.g. the breakfast service missed cutlery, condiments, creamer etc.) though I consider those still smaller oversights.
It has to be said that after providing feedback throughout the stay, the manager on duty did offer us a complementary meal and champagne. We appreciated the gesture, but unfortunately this did not meaningfully change the unpleasant experience we had overall, no less the fact that these offers were made to us later in the evening when we were trying to get ready to go to bed and get rest ahead of our wedding. It was also incredible frustrating that we were also called on the morning of our wedding to try and negotiate some compensation for this experience despite us wanting to focus on our wedding and when we ended the conversation we were congratulated on our engagement instead of our wedding. Finally, our stay was capped off with having to negotiate hard for an extra hour of late checkout, further souring the experience.
Location - The location is absolutely fantastic. Pike Place continues to be a gem of an attraction in Seattle.
Atmosphere - The atmosphere was generally pleasant, though there were guests in the hotel making noise well into 3/4am in the morning and we were surprised that the hotel management did not get involved for over 2 hours.
Rooms - The views from the room were incredible and waking up to the sight of the Puget sound is second to none. That said, it has to be mentioned that the room itself needs to be updated. The floors and walls had clearly suffered extensive damage and scratches, the water pressure from the showers were lackluster, and other amenities such as the steamer did not function, one bathroom did not have hand soap, and the curtains did not block very much light at night (which was further exacerbated by the noisy traffic in the street also late into the evening).
Value - The value of this room is mostly predicated on it's location and views, as the room itself was passable, but not necessarily pleasant.
Cleanliness - The room was clean, thankfully.
Noise level - As mentioned above, there was noise from other guests that were bothersome at night and the road traffic was also very loud even at 2-4am. During the day, the sounds of the city were welcome.
Amenities - As mentioned earlier, the amenities were passable, but left wanting.
INCREDIBLE VIEW! The corner, floor to ceiling views of the water was beautiful! Hotel staff was exceptional! Conversations breakfast was also a delight!
Beautiful small property at an incredible location with amazing room views near Pike Place Market. Higher costs however the rooms were very nice and the food and beverage were terrific. Overall the staff was very responsive and welcoming.
Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Valet was great as well. The concierge Chuck helped my husband and I with transportation to cruise terminal - he assured my concerns with booking a private car. Clean hotel. Really good food in 1st floor restaurant.
Great location not far from the waterfront and main sights in downtown Seattle. Really enjoyed the view from the rooftop bar.
Terrible stay. We asked for early check‑in and were told to come at 12, then waited hours with no update. At 4 PM we went back despite receiving no calls or messages, and they gave pointless excuses before putting us in the worst room. The AC was old, loud, and made strange noises all week. Overall a horrible experience.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. The staff seemed genuinely interested in helping us and consistently went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and responsive, which made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.
Wonderfull location and wonderful stay
The location near the pier and Pikes Market is unbeatable and their service is unmatched! I went during FIFA World Cup so places were busier than usual, however, the hotel was a great place for breakfast and dinner.
