Our room was lovely and spacious. Big bath. The staff were excellent, and we had welcome drinks in the bar. The breakfast was exceptional.

I think the property is mainly constructed by woods so be sure to lower the volume entering the night.
The smell of wood inside the house was good!
If there’s a humidifier inside the room, it would be more comfort. Also it would be better to add the English instruction for how to use the gas heater.
The staff was top notch and the place it self was so nice. The bar was epic the servers really know there stuff and they had a great collection of sake and liquor 🥃
One thing and one thing only. Could use a extra place to hang your towels but no biggie really
I loved their attention to detail - you could tell that every piece of furniture down to each amenity product was chosen with care and intention.
I especially loved the complimentary drinks and house-made caneles!

泊まった部屋がとても可愛かった！お母さんと私の女子2人旅だったので、可愛らしいお部屋でときめいた。そしてその部屋で見れた紅葉と、お部屋に運んでいただいた朝食が最高だった！
よくなかった点は、ほとんどないけど、
強いて言うなら、お風呂が大きすぎて滑りそうになるのと、
荷物が重いと、用意していただいたお部屋が2階だったので階段で降りるのが少し大変だった（でも２階だったからこそお部屋から見れる紅葉の景色が素晴らしかった）
Very spacious and peaceful design. Staff are very pleasant. Welcome drink in the bar is excellent arrangement, and a good chat with the bartender.
A beautiful European style hotel. Has more modern interior designs than I expected. Also cozier than what I’m expecting. The room is spacious and clean. There’s also a quite private & romantic bar just behind the lobby, but seems they only opens on the weekend. A warm and intimate hidden gem to enjoy some drinks in the cold nights.
The staffs are very nice and very responsive. The receptionist is only available from 7.30 - 21.00, but they gave us the emergency contact, in case there’s something urgent we need to do and need to be assisted. I can tell that the staffs are wholeheartedly want to give their best for their customer. I might be going over the board, but kudos to all of the staff! 4 thousand thumbs up!
Quite close to the Shindo bus station.
The only thing that could be considered as a minus for this hotel is the location. Quite far from any convenience store, about 15 mins walking.
It’s close to the bus station, but perhaps since Karuizawa is a quite remote place and most people there owns car, the public transport was not that reliable and often delayed. So expect to walk quite often.
On the other hand, it’s actually in the middle of every tourist-centered locations, which are the Karuizawa station, Kumoba Pond, and the Old Ginza street.
