Hotel Mountain View

This hotel is one of my favorite when i am in the country, I love them because they're pet friendly. They have prices per "hour" or per night. If you want my advised bring your towels and I also bring my sheets just because... the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in the very convenient location.

The rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. The hotel was really dark inside, but was nice. They have free coffee downstairs in the morning. The bathroom we had was a bit small, but it got the job done. The parking lot holds about 8 cars and they have someone watching over the cars. I didn't really explore the hotel other than going straight to my room and back to the car so maybe others have some input here.

They have hot water in the shower so I was thrilled about that lol. The last place I stayed in Verón did not have hot water and I almost died taking cold showers for almost a week hahaha.

We stayed at Mountain View for 3 nights. It was centrally located near food and stores and maybe 10 minutes away from the Malecón by car. I would stay again. It was quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed my time there. If you are looking for a low cost, quiet and comfortable place to stay, this would be a good choice, I don't have any complaints. ¡Gracias Mountain View!

I called to speak to someone due to questions I have,,,,and the lady says no one there...who speaks and understands English......only Spanish. This is unfortunate because due to this.....they will lose out on future reservations.....Very Sad !!!!!!!!

My fiancee was told by one of the staff that they don't know why I was given the room I was in, Because that room is for the prostitute who come to have sex. I was not given one of the room for family. They copies my passport, when they should only take The passport number. The lighting was very bad, the remote did not work properly. I really feel I was in a cell. Guess this is what i get for staying at this cheap hotel. I would never go there again or recommend it to anyone.

I will start with the negatives. #1 the hotel is well known locally as a prostitution hotel. The hotel has hourly rental rooms. Every local that I met made the same comments about the hotel being known for prostitution. I did not know that going into the situation. #2 There was no Hot water in half of the hotel. I purchased the Jacuzzi room. The Jacuzzi room was situated on the half of the hotel that did not have hot water. POSITIVES: The hotel is located in the Center of town. This place is very good for the local DR experience. There were several security guards on property, during the day and night. I felt safe.

I was staying out in Santiago with my boyfriend which is appr. an hour drive, we decided to come into Puerto Plata and stay here as I had to fly out the next morning early and would be easier on both of us if we stayed close by.

I would recommend this hotel, as it was Very Clean, Friendly Staff and not expensive. Plus they had free wifi :).

Just came back from puerto plata in the beginning of the month. When I visit the Dominican Republic i always stop into this hotel to see my friends that work there . They greet me with the almost respect. They just added about 25 new rooms and romantic rooms to if you like. I'm so happy for this hotel as I have seen I grow for 2008 to 2013. They treat me like family every time I come there. And if you need anything just as and the staff there will get it for you.

the rooms there are very nice. the bed is very big and room was clean everyday. i love this place. the people there treat you very good. and if you want food or something to drink they will get it for you

I went to visit freinds and really enjoyed staying at this small and quiet property. I was close to the locals - near downtown and i really enjoyed the location of this property.
I needed just a room and I was happy with the selection. Good value for price too!

Good place to stay a/c cable tv right in downtown,only about 680 paso a night
