Classic Northern New Mexico Inn with spacious rooms and magnificent grounds.
Pros:

Well-appointed and elegant, this is a classic, Northern New Mexico style Inn. We really loved the spacious room, the excellent and large bed, and the magnificent grounds. The grand cottonwoods may outdo the impressive sculpture gardens! Restaurant was good. Red chili enchiladas and margarita were excellent. Loved all the beautiful local art in the main building and dining area too.

Cons:

Cups in the room for coffee were so small! Where everything else was so quality, these mugs were truck stop diner bland. Also, the quantity of coffee available was too limited. And plastic cups wrapped in plastic for water were pretty chinzy for an otherwise elegant place. The croissant at breakfast was off. Flat, tasteless, and no-flake. Finally, it would have been nice to have some kind of reading material (NOT a QR code - an actually book or folder or pamphlet) in the room that offered information about this super-interesting, lovely and historic place, as well as things to do in the area.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would happily stay again in future.
Pros:

Casita was nice. Patio area was peaceful and lots of hummingbird to watch among the trumpet vines and wisteria.
Nice to wander around the grounds and look at all the sculptures.

Cons:

Our casita was noisy - close-ish to the highway. Room could have used a bit more cleanliness. Bedroom smelled a bit musty - don’t know if it was the bedding or the carpet.

Best two day staycation
Pros:

The location is fantastic, and the room was great—nice, clean, quiet, and romantic. The food was fantastic, and the people were incredibly nice. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

We had hamburgers, blue corn crusted trout that was out of this world, chicken wings, and jalapeño poppers. Everything was fantastic.

Charming property but overdue for maintenance
Pros:

I wanted to like this place more than I did. The grounds and overall layout are appealing, with open spaces between the lodging that give the property a relaxed feel. There are also some charming touches, including quirky furniture and a nice skylight in the bathroom.

Unfortunately, the property feels overdue for maintenance and attention. The Wi-Fi was difficult to access and I was never able to get connected. The bedding had a strong cheap laundry detergent smell, and I found unfolded bedding stuffed into the cabinet next to the TV that appeared used, which raised concerns about cleanliness.

The room itself felt worn and somewhat unkempt. There were torn artworks with debris trapped inside the frames, dirty windows, dated wall switches, visible cable clutter, stained or worn carpeting, and tile grout that could use a thorough cleaning or replacement. The front door handle was also loose and did not feel secure.

There were several comfort issues as well. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, making nighttime trips disruptive to anyone sleeping. The air conditioning setup made it difficult to keep both rooms in the suite cool while maintaining privacy, since doors needed to remain open for adequate airflow.

Overall, the property has character and could be quite charming with more consistent upkeep and attention to detail. As it stands, it felt overpriced for the condition of the accommodations.
