We stayed in one of the lodges. The room was lovely decorated and very clean. I liked there was a small porch area for shoes etc. Had a great sleep . Bed was comfortable and was surprised with how quiet it was considering a wedding was on in the main house .
We had a very quiet, spacious and comfortable room, very near Troon's golf course, and we particularly enjoyed the characterful spaces in the main building, where meals (including breakfast) are served. Breakfast was very good.
We have enjoyed staying at the Piersland several times and really have no complaints! We enjoy the location and the comfort and service are excellent.
We liked staying in a lodge in the grounds
We didn’t find anything to dislike
We had a very enjoyable two days stay with breakfast at Piersland House Hotel in Troon. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and excellent We dined in the restaurant on both evenings of our stay. There is a great choice of quality food to select from.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Piersland House in a family group.
Lovely bright room. Food was excellent. Great location.
Beautiful hotel, in amazing surroundings. Loved the choices of accommodation and their settings. Evening meal was excellent overlooking the beautiful gardens. Easy walk down to the beach to watch the sunset, which ended a lovely weekend, with perfect weather.
Great location
Food was average
Beautiful house. Lovely spacious rooms. Fantastic food and well kept gardens.
Loved it all.
Perfect location
Food was fairly average
It was an overnight to celebrate friends golden wedding along other family and friends. The staff could not have been more helpful.
We had a mews room which was a really great size and we loved the separate lounge area and TV in both the bedroom and lounge. The room was beautifully clean too which is very important. Nice choice of drinks in the room, nice biscuits and bottles of water. Also umbrellas provided which was a nice touch. The garden borders outside the room were also well kept and pretty.
The floors in the room are extremely creaky except in the bathroom which was a lovely stone floor. It meant that if we had to get up in the night, we disturbed the other person. These look like newish rooms so not sure why more wasn’t done to secure the floor. For us at least, the mattress was also very uncomfortable after a couple of nights sleeping on it. It seemed comfy to begin with but got worse. Perhaps some pictures would also have brought the room to life a bit too.
Stayed 3 nights in one of the rooms in the annex and it was so quiet and comfortable! Excellent breakfast and all staff were very friendly!

A very good and comfortable hotel, in nearly all regards, in a great location, opposite Royal Troon golf course. Good evening meal in the restaurant and good breakfast.
The shower pressure was very weak, hence the 9 out of 10.
The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the comfort of eating in the dining room. Staff were pleasant although could have explained the system for us- we worked it out easily enough though.
Our room was very comfortable but quite small.
The highlight of our 2 night stay was our dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. Wide ranging dinner menu. Food was exceptional.
No fresh coffee making in the room.
The breakfast - the hot food was cooked fresh and made with good quality ingredients and there was also a cold buffet with cereal, fruit, pastries etc. Comfortable bed.
