Perfect location and staff were really friendly
Wasn’t particularly clean, paint peeling from cloning in bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable and the room was really hot despite the radiator being off. It didn’t feel safe to open the window as it backed onto a flat roof with someone’s back door.
Great location on the harbour and very friendly staff, especially at breakfast.
It wasn’t clear how long the parking permit was valid for, meaning we got a fine.
Breakfast and hotel itself
Again as this was a second visit the jacuzzi was out of order . The first time we were told we are waiting for it to be fixed that was in September , second visit we were told the same . That was a factor when when first booked so we won’t be booking again if that is not a facility
We've been visiting on & off for years now . We always get a really friendly welcome and the staff are very attentive. The hotel has so much history its great to just stay there and feel at home .
It's also really close to the maritime museum and the Mary rose exhibition is always woth a visit
Nothing at all
Check in early no problem, lovely evening meal, good bar, friendly staff, excellent breakfast selection, stunning Fried Bread! Great location for shopping and sightseeing, Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays, Royal Navy yards and Mary Rose exhibitions, Southsea common, beaches, shops, local restaurants and friendly local pubs.
Ideal hotel for visiting Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire coast.
A lovely hidden gem.perfect location
Pool
Little outdated
Closeness to Portsmouth
Tv didn’t have basic channels, know there is redecoration going on but was looking very tired where our room was
Location, easy access to Old Portsmouth, breakfast good, plenty of options, will cater for those who have special requirements.
Heating pump/pumps were on most of the night 16th march, I appreciate some warmth is needed, but most if not all night, ummmmmm !!!!
Paint peeling from ceiling in bathroom ,did report to reception upon leaving needs immediate attention as not something you'd really expect to come across in such an establishment 😔
A gem in the heart of Portsmouth within easy access to the attractions and public transport
Our stay was too short and would have loved to stay longer
a real gem right next to the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth.
Staff are so friendly and warm. I did feel very much at home there and treated well.
Loved the bar and breakfast was outstanding.
I will be going back.
