We had a fabulous stay.
Pros:

The welcome from helpful staff. The comfortable beds and the scrupulously clean bathrooms. The swimming pool facilities. The provision of a fan for our room.

Cons:

It would benefit from air conditioning throughout, especially in the particularly hot weather that appears to becoming the norm.

Cons:

The interiors of the main hotel building look imposing, but the family room that we booked was in a different building - and oh man I have never ever seen a more shabby room in the hotel! Wallpaper peeling off, screws heads sticking from the ceiling and the bathroom is straight from the 80s...

To add more, our visit was during the June 26 heat wave, and the temperature in the room was unbearable. There was no ventilation in the room, as for the windows - we couldn't dare to keep them open for the night, as those are literally 20 cm from the ground, and have no bars and no ventilation locks. So in the end we just packed up and moved to a hotel located less conveniently, but with air conditioning.

Bottom line: the hotel may be good and staff friendly, but our family room was an absolute trash, and for 200 pounds!
