Excellent customer service and a real understanding of guests’ needs.
Pros:

A lovely birthday short break in Portsmouth, with a very warm welcome. Our appreciation to MD Sarah and the team for the enhanced room and birthday best wishes.

The tributes to our Naval Forces throughout the hotel are fascinating and poignant, and a delicious breakfast is included in the room rate.

And proud that we picked a hotel affiliated to The Association of Royal Navy Officers - we’ll definitely be back!

Cons:

The room was quite warm, although the fan made a difference.

Lovely hotel. Great location and a relaxing pool.
Pros:

The hotel is near the docks and Gunwharf Quays. It was also easy to get a bus into Southsea frigate seafront. The room was a good size for a twin. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and even though we turned up just in time we weren’t rushed. The breakfast staff were friendly too The pool was really warm the only negative comment was the spa was out of order and needed retiling and weren’t advised this. Will definitely go back.

Cons:

The spa being out of order. No aircon.

Great location for the Historic Dockyard. Basic accommodation.
Pros:

Staff were helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for our needs. There was parking

Cons:

the hotel is very tired and the rooms offer very basic comfort. Although clean the rooms are in need of a complete refurbishment. The bathrooms are very old. The breakfast was very average. The bar lacked ambience. The glasses smelt odd.

A pleasant couple of days, supported by good personel.
Pros:

The location was excellent - walked from the station on arrival and a short taxi to the ferry terminal the other end of my stay ( both of two stays).

Cons:

It was a bit too easy to get slightly lost in the hotel at first.

Terrible
Pros:

Location close to Gun wharf

Cons:

No air con was absolutely boiling in rooms 2 fans provided but just push hot air around
No fridge
Rooms very outdated and renovating was underway so had to walk through this to get to room
Parking was promised but was no spaces given £10 voucher for parking over road with actual cost £15 ?
Parking discount did not work

No towels for swimming pool available had to use room towels
Pool area was like a sauna and full of hair and did not seem clean

We left at 8:30 pm after checking in at 2pm that day couldn’t stay in room due to heat

Only thing I would say is staff were friendly

Pros:

The location and was very clean.

Cons:

It was pricey, it didnt include bkfast. It was and additional 15 pp on top of the 90 price tags. Some doors to rooms slammed rather than closing slowly which woke us a couple of times. Also had renovation work going on which we did not know about.
