Please note that on-site parking is limited, and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Parking cannot be reserved. On street parking is available around the hotel (JA or JD zones) using council scratchcards available at reception (GBP 6.00 for 24 hours). The historic dockyard car park is directly opposite the hotel. This is subject to availability, and hotel guests have a reduced rate (conditions apply).
Some leisure facilities are chargeable and time restrictions apply.
Guests are advised that occasionally functions take place in the club. On these occasions it is possible music can be heard until midnight.
The Swimming Pool is open Monday - Friday from 3.30 PM until 8 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays its open from 8 AM until 8 PM.
The Jacuzzi is currently closed for maintenance until further notice. For Cash payments I.D must be shown on arrival. Smoking is not permitted and will result in payment of a fine, any damages to the property will need to be paid at reception.

Lovely hotel, steeped in Maritime history. This was almost like a museum with everything they had on the Royal Navy and everything maritime.
the only thing that was a shame we were in an area of the hotel that was being redecorated, so the walls of the corridoors were very grim, along with the almost non-existant carpet. The rooms were fine though. There were notices of apologies, and decorating has to be done. Pity it was when we were there, but I suppose there never is an ideal time. The lift was very small as well, and the person with me needed a wheelchair. It was a very tight squeeze.

we liked being in the annex but the paintwork was needing updating the only fault we have
it was a lovely stay. from the moment we step throught the door we was made to feel welcome.the young lady was very helpful.the room was very clean and the beds were very comfy.breakfast was lovley plenty of everything .staff were very helpful,over all it was a lovely stay .would reccomend to others.and will stay again thank you to stafffor making it a pleasent stay.
Location to shops and places to visit.
The staff were very friendly and the location is superb for visiting Portsmouth and Gunwharf is a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was very nice with a nice selection. Free parking right outside was a great bonus.
The room was very basic and looked nothing like the green rooms I saw online when booking, felt more like a dorm than a hotel room that we stayed in. There was a lot of decorating going on and the jacuzzi doesn't look like its been in action for a while which is a shame as it was something I really wanted to use.

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner ,the radiator was grubby .
The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
The hotel is close to local landmarks and amenities, and although the parking at the hotel is limited, there is a multi-storey car park less than a 5 minute walk away.
They are currently doing some redecorating (of the corridors in the west wing) . It would have been nice to have been informed of this before our arrival.
