Full payment is required at check-in.
Please note that on-site parking is limited, and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Parking cannot be reserved. On street parking is available around the hotel (JA or JD zones) using council scratchcards available at reception (GBP 6.00 for 24 hours). The historic dockyard car park is directly opposite the hotel. This is subject to availability, and hotel guests have a reduced rate (conditions apply).
Some leisure facilities are chargeable and time restrictions apply.
Guests are advised that occasionally functions take place in the club. On these occasions it is possible music can be heard until midnight.
The Swimming Pool is open Monday - Friday from 3.30 PM until 8 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays its open from 8 AM until 8 PM.
The Jacuzzi is currently closed for maintenance until further notice. For Cash payments I.D must be shown on arrival. Smoking is not permitted and will result in payment of a fine, any damages to the property will need to be paid at reception.
We're doing some light refurbishment at the hotel to improve our guest experience, but any disruption will be kept to a minimum. Thanks for your understanding.

Really close to the dockyard
Slow bar service. No ice on a hot day. Rooms hot and outdated. More expensive that other hotels nearby (premier inn, holiday inn)
Pleasant unhurried atmosphere with all facilities needed for an overnight stay. Convenient for holiday pick up in Portsmouth
Room was very compact and extremely warm with no air conditioning. Breakfast considering was very mediocre and the worst breakfast we had during our stay in the UK.
The hotel had one elevator (lift) not working and the other one had problems while we were there, not good for someone with mobility issues. Cold water in shower not great either.
The beds were comfortable and the pool was amazing . Easy walk to shops and other things
The night staff on our 1st night was very rude and was insisting we move our car to a street parking.i told her we can’t move it as we are staying here and the day receptionist advised us to park at that spot . On the day of check out, a nasty note was left on our car.

Personale della reception presente la mattina della partenza. Caldo infernale in camera ma capisco che si è trattato di un'eccezionale ondata di calore. In ogni caso un albergo cosi grande dovrebbe iniziare a prendere provvedimenti visto che le ondate di calore in futuro saranno sempre più frequenti.

We ate in Horatios and you could only tip in cash, either have no tipping or make it possible by card, unfair if they can only get tips if you happen to have cash .

It was under construction and that was mentioned no where on the website. And the pool closed early
A clean comfortable building, airy with very good facilities, and bedrooms. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Restaurant and bar food good. The hotel's historic and continuing association with the navy and charitable associations make it special and worth supporting.
Stayed during a heat wave so missed air conditioning (but also missing in most of its rivals) otherwise pass.
The location was excellent for the naval base attractions and the waterfront. I used a hired electric bike to get around, which was very good
My visit coincided with a heatwave and as there was no aircon, my room was very hot even with a fan on full blast
La situation géographique est idéale, près des Historic Dokyards, de la gare de la mer. Le personnel est serviable, agréable, parfait. Les repas sont bons, sains et à des prix corrects. On est content de trouver une petite piscine.
Il a fait très chaud dans la chambre et surtout la salle de abin pendant la canicule. Si seulement on pouvait occulter les fenêtres de l'extérieur!

Some facilities were out of action
We were very close to the Portsmouth Harbor which is where we spent our time. Portsmouth is a great place to visit. We enjoyed so much the museums of the ships. Would love to go back sometime.
