the breakfast looked lovely but they need to come up to expectations on their specialties of Eggs Benedictine and their poached eggs, both below par... the evening food was lovely.
the breakfasts and the parking and lack of staff to help with your luggage without having to ask the ladies on reception. Parking was not possible with out valeting.. however they were efficient when you arrived it was just a bit stressful at the beginning. certainly on a second visit it would be easier...
Location next to the Alhambra and on top of the mountain is lovely. It’s only a 10 minute walk down to the main town (15-20 minutes back up) and is well connected by the little buses.
Staff on reception really helpful with recommendations about what to see and local places to eat.
Bed was really comfortable and room huge.
Few rooms look out onto the Alhambra so it’s not perfectly situated for outlook.
Carpets in corridors were marked/worn - out of kilter with 5* rating

Good breakfast and dinner. Closest hotel to Alhambra: few minutes' walking. I walked to the courtyard of the Palace of Charles V every night and enjoyed the night view of the Albaicín and Granada. The Alhambra is located on a hill, so if you are coming from a hotel in the city center, you will have to take a bus up a steep hill.
If you want to visit other tourist attractions, such as the Granada Cathedral or tapas bars, you'll have to go down the hill.
