Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

Stayed for 3 nights. Room was spacious & clean. Staff impeccable. Breakfast superb. Great location close to station for getting about. If not eating out don’t miss happy hour (2 for 1)in the lobby bar & at the rooftop bar until 9pm. Good menu choice at the onsite Italian restaurant too. Would definitely recommend.

Pros:

Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes schönes Hotel. Teilweise schon etwas abgenutzt, aber trotzdem toll. Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, frisch und reichhaltig.

Cons:

Ein paar mehr liegen am Pool und eine Sonnenschirme wären schön

Great hotel and service, but heavy traffic makes daily commuting painful
Pros:

I moved to Lancaster Bangkok for about a week (Dec 7–16) to stay closer to a colleague. The hotel feels luxurious — maybe even a bit too fancy, but service, restaurant quality, and staff politeness were all exactly what you expect from a high-end place. Getting to Sukhumvit and Terminal 21 is easy enough — about 15–20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bike.

Cons:

The location became a real problem because of heavy traffic. If you need to commute by taxi — especially towards Nawamin — prepare for long rides. Morning and evening trips regularly took 40–60 minutes, which made daily work life uncomfortable. Because of this, I didn’t even use the hotel properly — skipped breakfasts, skipped my usual morning pool routine, and had to wake up earlier than normal just to make it to the office by 9.

Of all the hotels we have ever stayed at in Bangkok, Lancaster is undoubtedly the best.
Pros:
